One of my remote phones was left outside in the rain. even though it was damp I was able to make calls and even received calls. However within a couple of hrs the phone went dead. switched the battery with another remote but the rain phone still didn't work. the other phone with the rain battery did work so its not a battery problem. reassembled the rain phone and put it back in its cradle for 3 days by now and it still dosn't work. so...do you think the phone can be repaired or should I buy a replacement?
My God, you should have gotten a blow dryer immediately and dried the circuits. Not a hot heat, but a steady heat clean clear through. it has worked every time I dropped the phone in the toilet or the dishwater.
Depends on how long you took to get to it. Plus you made calls when it was damp. That damages circuits. Imagine puttin water on a light bulb If you, then, left it damp for thosE two hours instead of insuring total dryness - IT'S DEAD!
You have got to get to it immediately or more sooner than later to insure your circuit survival. And, of course, if you did not thoroughly dry it - well , you know, Oh yeah, and it the heat was took hot, then, you know.
You unit is fried and there is nothing you can do about it now.
By the way, it can become a battery problem, because a friend of mine kept his phone in his pocket and body moisture killed his phone. It swelled the battery and killed the phone.
Know this doesn't help get the use of your phones back.
Sorry!
