Sir,,i hav an acer TM5720 series lap....and i'm using win7 os.....but my web cam is not working.....i tried install new and old versions of drivers but its not at all working....the small led over the webcam is not switching on!!! so i need ur help....wht could be the possible error in it......

You need to download the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link

When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 6530. Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

You may be able to find a Windows 7 printer driver on the Lexmark WEB site. If not then this model printer is too old then Lexmark wants you to buy a new printer.

also, remove all picture images from the Pictures folder and the webcam will work. As soon as you remove all pics to your desktop the webcam light will come on.
try reinstalling the drivers for the camera

Only one driver will work so use the one specifically for the model of webcam and the model of laptop for Win7, either 32 or 64 bit depending on what is loaded as an OS.

Do you have Win7 32-bit or 64-bit? If you have the 32-bit, the driver you need is here: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_lide_80#DriversAndSoftware . This driver works for Win2K-Win7. This is an unsigned driver and probably will not work in Win7 64-bit.

In my experience, Canon is very poor at supporting their scanners for 64-bit OS versions. In fact, they do not have a Vista 64-bit compatible version of the drivers for this scanner.

The only solutions I have found are tedious. 1) Keep your old computer that works with the scanner and transfer files on a USB drive or optical disc (RW is better for this). 2) Set up a virtual computer with an OS that works with the scanner. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do this for free. Download Microsoft's Virtual PC and the XP mode package. Install both in order. For other versions of Win7, you will need a virtualization program (Parallels, Virtual PC, VMWare) and a licensed version of XP (or other OS that will work with the scanner). Set up the virtual computer program and install the OS.

Next install your scanner to the virtual computer and use it in that "machine". You may need to transfer files to external or optical media to share the documents. You can't install a printer on both the virtual computer and the real computer at the same time (at least with XP mode).

(I tried using the compatibility mode and accepting the unsigned driver for a Win7 Home Premium 64-bit machine for a different Canon scanner. It didn't work and I have dealt with a number of old hardware and new OS issues over time.)

It's unlikely you will find a W7 driver for this cam - I suggest you install the old software and run the camera in Compatibility Mode.
Right click on the webcam icon on your desktop or from 'All Programs' file - select 'Properties'
Select the Compatibility tab
Select Compatibility Mode
Use the dropbox to show the OS
Click OK
Restart your computer

it is because win 7is new to the market..
all the drivers are not upgraded by win7.
try microsoft help....chat centre..
or use microsoft win7 upgrade advisor for the system drivers support.
it automitacilly checks ur hardware and software and gives u a appropriate solution..
