Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise the flat
beater or clockwise (right) to lower the flat beater
2. Check the Beater Shaft (Agitator Shaft) making sure the Retaining ring
is flushed with the surface of the Planetary Assembly
Constant Pulling and Removal of the beaters can cause the Agitator shaft to move
3. If the above two still don't solve your problem, follow the service manual
directions to disassemble the Planetary Assembly and check for loose screws

I have been a loyal Sunbeam mixmaster user for over 30 years, it has all the features I need and I prefer it over other makes I have seen. However the beaters stopped moving [the bowl still moves ] and since we have no service depot in our area and the cost of shipping is so high I decided to look for another to purchase because I needed it right away. I could not find a 450 watt Heritage mixer anywhere [ even had my daughter in Edmonton looking ] they seem to have become extinct !! So I bought another.. a 350 watt.. thinking it would do the job. However from the very first time I used it I was extremely disappointed in its preformance AND I burned my hand while removing the beaters ! The stems of the beaters are literally hot enough to cause an immediate burn trying to remove them. Now I'm stuck with a machine I'm afraid of and there's no replacement in the area and I paid a lot of money for something I can't use. The store I deal with will not return your purchase price but instead give a credit. I did not want a Kitchen Aid ! What do you suggest I do ? I need this for my Christmas baking which is quite extensive.
