Blinking of standby light in Sony sets are fault indications. You just count the number of blinks occur at a time, by switching the set ON-OFF by its front panel power switch, not by the remote control handset. Just do it for at least three or four times, count the exact number of blinks occurs there, and inform it to me through Fixya. Through the number of blinks, I can locate the faulty section, of somtimes to the exact fault location. Count it keenly and inform me. OK.
After doing that. It blinks non stop (a blink each second)

Your Tvs system Ic has some trouble with it. Data bus is busy or shorted. There is some shorted capacitors has gone leaky, or system IC itself has damaged, or iK video path has some break in it. You must have through knowledge in following the schematic diagram, and must have a good concept of soldering. It is the most complicated section inside your TV circuit, and must be casious when handling, otherwise, the whole system will turn irrepearable. If you have confident that you can do it by yourself, inform me. I'll assist you. If yoy haven't confident about it, leave it to any experienced TV technician. OK.
