The batteries in a FERRUPS typically last 3-6 years depending on how many power outages you have, how much heat there is, etc. So, 3 months doesn't sound right. Hopefully, you are buying batteries from a reputable source. Eaton bought Powerware about 6 years ago and retained their service network which has lots of techs trained on the FERRUPS. I suggest you contact them:

The double aa bateries die out very quickly, i'm using duracel alkaline. why is this happening?

Check your camera settings , set it so the display doesnt
run all the time .
Some cameras eat batterys fast , lithium batterys are
best if thats the case , or high capacity rechargables.

Nikon Coolpix L18 display shows "battery exhausted" despite several tries at new batteries

Mine too. The camera is not good what so ever. The batterys seem to die in 5mins but the same batterys can go weeks in my guitar hero guitars. We had to buy expensive rechargeables and it still does the same. Just get a new camera

Uniden cordless handsets don't hold charge

Have you tried replacing the batterys with new rechargables? if not open up the back and replace old batterys with new ones, just see if it works with a normal non rechargable batterys if it does buy some new rechargable, other than that your base i.e. charger may be faulty most likely it is the batterys.

Battery

they make a charger called a battery tender which keeps your battery topped at all times with a trickle charge. get one and your batteries won;t die.

Fuji finepix A120

are you using rechargable batterys or weak batterys. my fuji won't work unless I use a e^2 titanium batterys. they have lots of jam (3500's?). anyways when the picture or ccd goes to charge there isn't enough juice to fire and the cammera dies. or maybe there is junk on the connections and won't let enough volts through. rechargeables are bad becouse they don't have the volt output needed - 1.2v charged I beleive. the other batterys are expensive but they've been in my cammera for three months, or about 300 pictures.
hope that helps :)
