I purchased a unit second hand for my wife's birthday today. It's only 4 months old, got it home, tested it, same problem... No froth!
I've read all the posts here and all were very helpful troubleshooting guides however they did not solve the issue.
Understanding how the frothing mechanism functions is half the battle in figuring out the solution. It's a simple vacuum type system. No doubt you've read about checking the orings. This is definately the first thing to check however if this is not the reason then consider the following.
The larger of the white tubes that has the red and black oring inserts deep into its port on the tap. Why? It pushes steam past the milk pipe directly into the chrome frothing tube which causes a vacuum essentially drawing milk up it's hose creating the froth. What you can't see without further investigation is that on the underside of the tube centered between the red and black orings is a small hole. This hole is responsible for drawing the milk upwards. If this is blocked, and it probably is then no milk and no froth. Use a really small screwdriver to carefully clean the white tube both from the front and the little hole underneath.
So in conclusion. Any air leak between the red and black orings will prevent the vacuum required to draw milk up the tube and alternatively any blockage of the milk channel will also obviously prevent the flow into the frothing mechanism. Hope this helps.
Called customer service. issue was, if you look at the hook where milk container connects, you should see two rings, green and black, if you don't this is what causing the issue.
they send me new once w/o questions asked...
FIXED! This drove me nuts as the machine had been sent back twice and has had two new sets of couplings and lids; problem still not resolved.
But today - bingo - the problem was the lid not fixing on the coupling properly. To check if this is the problem - you should notice some steam residue at the back of the lid. It might be an o ring problem, but I found it was not moving on to the the coupling far enough. So changing the o rings would not solve the issue (in my case).
So, get a sharp knife and whittle a couple of millimetres of the top/back of the lid (where the triangle is / above the top port). This is the point where protrudes the furthest at the back. Doesn't have to be straight - slight curve is more than fine.
Then whittle a millimetre or so from the two parallel points just below the coupling (the two spouts which the jug connects to). This is on the plastic cover - which can be removed by one screw. The jug rests against these so not to damage/wear the plastic covers.
Reducing these areas will allow the jug lid to be fitted closer to the seals, and thus creating a tighter bond.
Hopefully, after this, you'll get a nice lot of foam for your morning fix.
Shame support engineers and customer services could not fix the problem; slight modification to the plastic cover and lid would have done it.

Here are some possible reasons why the milk steamer flow is diminished and steam is not coming out of the bottom of the machine:
Clogged steam wand: The steam wand might be clogged with milk residue, which can restrict the flow of steam. Try cleaning the steam wand with a damp cloth or a pipe cleaner.
Faulty steam valve: The steam valve might be faulty or damaged, which can cause a decrease in steam pressure. In this case, you may need to replace the valve.
Blocked milk frother: The milk frother might be blocked with milk residue, which can prevent the milk from frothing properly. Try cleaning the milk frother with a damp cloth or a pipe cleaner.
Faulty milk frother: The milk frother might be faulty or damaged, which can cause a decrease in milk flow and prevent proper frothing. In this case, you may need to replace the milk frother.
If none of these solutions work, it's best to contact DeLonghi's customer service for further assistance
There may be an issue with the milk you are using if your Keurig K cafe frother is only heating milk and not frothing it. There is nothing wrong with your frother.
You must consider changing the milk you are using and hopefully, your problem will be solved. Read this article for complete details on fixing the frother. Keurig frother not working
I found that switching to a different milk solved my issue. It worked well with whole milk, but when I used Trader Joe's two percent organic it would not froth after .multiple tries. I borrowed a neighbor's creamer and it worked again.
The solution to rotation issues with the frother have been soved finally by myself after reading all the suggestion. The fix is simple... Your attachments have been magnitised and need to be demagnetized. It works a beauty. Run a magnet around the metal rings. Hint. Never leave them on the the frother when not being used.
If the frother is warming the milk, but is not frothing, then you want to make sure the panarello is clean.
Slide the cover off the frother and check the pin hold on the top edge of the cover. If this hole is blocked the milk will not froth. Rinza is great clean to help prevent these issues. http://www.cerinicoffee.com/rinza_urnex.asp
Also recommend frothing water instead of milk to clean the frother well.

I have tried tilting mine slightly, just a 20c peice under one edge of the base put enough of a lean on it to make the milk froth. Shouldn't have to do this, I know. I am having similar issues becasue I don't think I should have to alter the unit. Mine is 2 weeks old.
the frother should have come wit two attachments a coiled one and a paddle the coil one is for frothing fill frother to bottom mark or slightly lower.hope this helps let me know how you went
remove the o rings where the milk frother connects
to, there is a green, red and black rubber O ring. Remove them and get
a toothpick and clean around where they sit. You will notice a hard
milk build up like when you get on your teeth. This is what tbirdfan1 says: may be causing your problem the o-rings are not setting their properly tbirdfan1 says: here is some more information tbirdfan1 says: It
turns out the electrical connection for the solenoid valve that feeds
the hot water out into the milk jug/hot water tap had come loose. They
are clipped on rather than being soldered into place. Trace the wires
back to the main board from the sole tbirdfan1 says: from the solenoid (brass bit with grommets) and check that the clips are in place.
