looks like a new unit purchased within last 2-3 years, best to send back to manufacturer for repair and possible replacement under warranty if avaialble
hello don... check to be sure that the tools are 18 volt and not 12 volt. If they are 18v then go to this website to contact ryobi directly https://register.ryobitools.com/contact_us/new
Brushes over time will wear down so comparing from the old to new will not look the same. If 18V brushes fit into the your drill then it should be fine.
OK try going to Blacnanddeckercom and in the header you will find a link on the right hand side to register your new tool. Let me know if you need more assistance.
No, just return it, for the money they should give you one that works. It is common to get a defective Ryobi 18v lithium battery. I've had 2 out of 7 purchased that wouldn't hold a charge. But when you get a good one they work awesome!
Ryobi has their own website to go on for any part that you need. You need to know all info on the drill like yr., make ,mdl. etc... I purchased a switch for my ryobi table saw and they shipped it quick and the parts are inexpensive.
