The recommended soap tablet does not dissolve complete although the dishwasher goes complete cycle

There are two reasons why it can happen:

1. Too much dishwashing detergent (There may be build up from before causing caking and so it's not dispensing the soap tablet)

2. You will notice a tiny spring inside your dishwasher detergent dispenser. This spring is triggered during the washing cycle and causes the dispenser door to pop open. A broken spring can prevent this from happening. If the spring is clean with no food, suds, or obvious buildup preventing it from working, it likely needs replacing.

I had a similar issue and found this website really helpful. Hope this helps.

Soap dispenser not working

The soap dispenser door has a spring inside under the pastic that opens it when the timer says it's time for soap.
Sometimes the spring can become disconnected.
Sometimes the plastic part the spring connects to gets broken.
Sometimes the door's pivot point becomes gummed up so bad the spring is no longer strong enough to open the door.
Sometimes solenoid (which works like the electric door unlocker in a car) doesn't work.
Sometimes the timer gets broken and doesn't tell the solenoid when to open the door.

If you start taking out screws around the door to see what is going on inside, unplug the dishwasher first.

I have a whirlpool gu2400 dishwasher. The spring loaded soap dispenser door does not open during the wash cycle to release the soap.

Whirlpool dishwashers use a wax motor or a solinoid to release the door at a specific time during the cycle. So for proper cleaning the soap cup is nessesary . The part isn't that expensive and fairly simple repair.

Soap door will not open during washing cycle

Hi there,

Well as controlling cycle times, the timer on many dishwashers also functions as an actuator for the spring-loaded dispenser door. At a certain specific time during the cycle, the timer will activate a lever that in turn opens the detergent cup. If that lever is broken or in some way defective, it will need to be replaced. Alternatively, the timer's motor itself could be the problem. If your timer is not functioning properly, then the dispenser door may not function properly either. Test your dishwasher's timer motor, and if it is broken, you can replace either the entire timer assembly or just the timer motor. Please post the model number of your dishwasher for more help or information.......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

The soap dispenser door does not always open

the dispenser has to be changed. there is a spring that might not be spring back to open . its easier to replace then to get the kit and rebuild your dispenser.

Soap dispenser will not open during cucle

The dispenser is opened by a control rod inside the door. There is probably something amiss with this. Remove the back panel on the door and you'll probably see the problem.

Soap dispenser cover won't close

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

Soap dispenser door doesn't open during cycle of my Maytag dishwasher

Kqon, looks like your dispenser has a wax motor. I think the first thing you have to do is remove the inner door and inspect the soap dispensor assy. See if any of the moving parts are broken. This wax motor is 120V so you can run a cheater cord to it to see if it works, but be very careful when doing this. It will expand the plunger and open the flap. If the wax motor operates with 120V applied to it then you want to see if you have power coming from the timer. It will be the tan wire # 27 on the timer harness. You also want to make sure the spring and pin are in place on the dispenser flap. Your part number for the wax motor is 902899. Catriver.

Detergent will not dispense during the wash cycle

Something simple you can check is to make sure the spring that flips open the door is not broken or caked up with detergent.

As for the soap not dissolving, I've had similar problems and the only solution I've found is to make sure you are not blocking  the spray jet on the bottom from hitting the soap drawer.
