Sandisk cruzer microdrive 2 GB- MS Windows is sending an error message when I try to open the drive. MS windows is looking for a file called "setup.pif" to open the drive.

insert your 2 gb cruzer into a usb port click start all programs accessories open windows explorer my computer you should see your drive click to open it from there you select the files right click on the file/s right click copy navigate back to the drive right click select paste or hold the mouse cursor the file/s drag them to scan disc then drop them

or if you are downloading from the internet once the program/files starts to download an option will open and ask where you want to save it or run it also browse click on the browse to save it to your 2 gb cruzer

You need to format it as NTFS because FAT32 (your current flash drive file system) doesn't support files bigger than 1GB.

Two possibilities:

1. you already have more than 3GB of files on the SANDISK.
So, delete some files, or "burn" them to a CD/DVD disk,
so that you have at least 5 GB of "free" space available.

2. the "file-system" (the way that the "table-of-contents" is laid-out on the SANDISK) limits the size of a single file to 2GB.
The "file-system" on your 'C:' drive does *NOT* have that identical limitation (it does have a "maximum-file-size", but it is MUCH larger).

Open Outlook, and "compress" all the folders.
Perhaps, the PST file will shrink to less than 4.7 GB.
If it does, then you can "burn" that file onto one DVD-writable disk.

When plugged on a computer running Windows, the SanDisk Cruzer appears as 2 icons: a CD-ROM and a regular hard drive. The drive letters for the two are consecutive (ex: E:CD_ROM, F:SanDisk.
Any file or folders that you have to store on the SanDisk drive must be stored on the second device.

If the folder already exists on your computer, point to it with mouse cursor and right click. In the menu options look for the one that says copy and select it.
Open the Windows Explorer, locate theCuruzer icon that represents the hard drive part, click on it to open it. Point somewhere where there are no icons and right click the mouse cursor. Select the submenu Paste.

To copy and paste you can also use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL-C and CTRL-V

You can also open 2 explorer windows side by side, one showing the folder you want to copy and another the contents of the SanDisk drive. You can drag the folder to copy from the computer hard-drive and drop

looks like your sandisk cruzer keeps going on and off whenever you insert it, which is the case when you copy files FROM the flash drive.
If you got a message like "sector not found" that would have meant your flash drive have defective sectors or headers.
Whatever it is you should find a software form the website which you can use to reformat the drive to see if the that works. then you need to run check disk:
1. right click on the usb drive and choose properties.
2. look for the tab named "tools"
3. you should see error checking/check the volume for errors (the first option)
4. select that and tick all the boxes to apply.
5. If it asks you to reeboot the pc should it not be able to check, do so.
Note that on a vista or windows 7 the drive errors are detected automatically and the window will display if you do want correct the errors.

i have a 16 gb pendrive which is detected in my mac but not in any windows...............help me out here

I would suggest copy the file ot yoru desktop and open it from your desktop.

I have got a problem of Files Hiden.
When i opened Control Panel there is no Folder View.
When i tried to do any thing it asked me
"Insert U3 Smart Driver"
But I couldn't find that Driver, But I do have 4GB SanDisk Cruzer
Flash Driver. So Please support me for more.

you guys have to empty the trash can or

1. open applications
2. open utilities
3. click on disk utility
4. locate the drive, left hand side
5. select the drive
6. click on erase
7. select file system, either MS-DOS or Mac OS extended.

Your SanDisk Cruzer® Micro SDCZ6-2048 (2 GB) USB 2.0" may be giving problem due to the internal errors.
Therefore 2 GB card may be scaned through anti virus, if problem repeats then format ur card from the computer.
