For weeks the lower half of the screen has gone black. I could recover it by turning the Tv off then back on, sometimes requiring several attempts. At times it would correct itself. then while attempting to retrieve the lower half of the picture the entire picture went but I had sound. I shut off, then unplugged the TV for a time, turned it back on, still no picture and now no sound. when I unplug it and plug it back in and turn it on I hear the click but nothing else from then on there is no click for on or off unless I unplug it again. I've only had this TV for a little over a year. They're too expensive to be of such poor quality!
Well I have the same problem with green light and no sound and no pix. After i opened it all up i checked the main power supply board and found all fuses good and the 12vdc side of the board dead. My best guess is this power board has many problems. All the driver boards for the screen are located on the perimiter of the screen. If you loose part of the power supply board you will loose part of functions of the tv. At this time i am looking to replace the entire power board. Will let you know the location and fix soon as i find it. jim [email protected]
Please everyone file a complaint with the BBB for Sanyo Manufacturing maybe if we get enough complaints the will do something

I am having the same issue, did anyone find a fix for this problem? Flashes 12 times and then clicks off and LED flashes 12 times and repeats the cycle.
SOURCE: Sanyo Plasma Service Manual
The only source would be Sanyo. They can refer you to their parts sales rep for your area.
Just to make a suggestion, there is not much you can service in these sets. Some of these service manuals can cost upwards of $60 to $150 depending on the manufacture and model.
Servicing at the component level without the training, extensive diagnostics systems, jigs, and tools is mostly impossible unless it is a simple obvious fault. These sets are extremely complex in their assembly and design.
At the service centers they service these sets by board and module swapping. These sets are basically serviced like as if it was a PC computer. They have the basic calibration setups to calibrate replacement boards when necessary. Sometimes the new boards have to be matched.
I also found that if the set is more than about four to five years old it is sometimes impossible to have replacement boards. The technology turn-over is very fast with these flat panel TV sets and monitors.

I am having the same issues. I bought this TV about 18 months ago and about a month ago, the TV started cutting the picture in half...either the top half shows a picture, the bottom half, or a single line through the middle or no picture at all. Our soution: Good old fashioned hitting it on the back of the set! Nice. We paid $1200.00 for a TV that has to be hit on the back to get it to work. The warranty has expired. I called Sanyo Customer Service and the guy I talked too said he has never heard of this happening before. I don't quite believe him. I will NEVER buy anything that is made by Sanyo for the rest of my life.
