kindly follow these steps and check if the problem is fixed

1)Press and hold the windows button and press R simultaneously- A small pop will open
2)type devmgmt.msc press ok- device manger will open
3) check for unknown devices listed there
4)right click on unknown device and select scan for hardware changes-it will complete the process
5) now check for your web cam-still not working
6)restart the computer and check.

It sounds as though the wrong BIOS has been installed or when downloading the correct BIOS there was a problem with the file and it is corrupt.
Apart from removing the BIOS chip and fitting a programmed one, there is not a lot else you can do except speak to Acer and see if they can help.

You simply insert the card in, and it will click into place to get it out again, push it in again, and it will "Unlatch" and pop out. Just make sure you are in the correct slot.

TRY TO RUN IT AT SAFE MODE AND MAKE GENERAL FIX ON UR SYSTEM IF IT'S NOT WORKING THEN U NEED WITHER TO FIX UR WINDOWS BY REPAIRING UR WINDOWS OR FORMAT UR WINDOWS AND INSTALL NEW ONE

Can you get it to boot using any of the options it gives other than boot normally? If the blue screen is caused by hardware then installing xp will still present the problem. If the blue screen is an operating system crash then using the recovery disk or doing a repair install will solve the boot problem.

If you still rather install xp then you need to go into BIOS and set 1st boot device as CD. To go into BIOS you will need to press F10 or F2 (usually) as displayed on the splash screen when you power on

Bios passwords can usualy be gotten around by sdisconnecting the battery for an hour or so then reinstaling it.
