I'm running Win Vista Home Premium. My mp3 is supposed to be compatible with this OS but will not be recognized when plugged in. Am told sofware was successfully installed and searches pre configured drivers folder. Hangs there and doesn't seem to find the correct driver. The mp3 player works just fine on OS Win XP.
Have spent hours with MS techs and Samsung support with no solution found.
HELP !!! please
Forgot to mention. Have Samsung EnoDio installed and player not recognized there either.

Well, we wont know until you try. In my opinion, your 32/64 bit issues will be solved, but you would still have the normal vista/xp compatibility issues.
But that is to be expected, like when we all upgraded from win98 to XP.
So - I would recommend downgrading to Vista 32 bit, or getting the 64bit software version of the programs you want to use.
Good Luck, and let me know what you did, and how it turned out! :)
Check whether its compatible with Vista. Also if you are trying to use a "cracked' software in Vista, it simply wont respond to any command or recognize the devices its supposed to because Vista does not allow any extra drivers to be added other than those preset in the OS driver database....sodeep
The winzip which u have downloaded will not work with Vista 64bit...please click on this link http://www.winzip.com/downwz.html or copy and paste it in address bar so that u can download and it will work in Vista 64bit..
Check Sandisk website to see if they have Vista compatible software. i know that newer usually means better, but in the case of Microsoft Vista, you will be astounded at how many devices are not compatible with the OS. Hopefully SP1 will fix many of these issues.
