SOURCE: What does a fault F01 signify on a Hotpoint Ultima

Error code F01 indicates a short circuit motor triac.
Thoroughly check all connections on the motor, the motor plug, and the electronic module board..
Look for a broken wire, or a bad connection.

Thankyou.

SOURCE: hotpoint ultima 1200

Kirsty - There could be an item like a hair clip Jamming the pump impeller. Or then it can be only a blockage in the filter or in the waste pipe or if the waste is connected to your sink drain check that the blockage is not there - either in the end of the pipe or in the sink connection.

Try disconnecting at the sink, holding the waste pipe into a bucket see if it will pump out then. If it does then the problem lies in the sink plumbing - if not then it lies in the machine.

If the pump and filter and hoses are definitely clear you could have a Pump, PCB or wiring fault. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: hotpoint ultima super silent w f 840 shows fault 03

Code f03 means wash thermistor open circuit, this is normally part of the heating circuit, suggest you test heater and thermistos located in the end of the heater, and replace if necesscary. If heater o/k , then could be bad connection to control module, or broken wire, if still no joy, then call Hotpoint.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Fault f5 is indicating pressure switch jammed on full.
Remove the lower rear panel of washer.
Locate and remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint WMD960 on start says ' no water supply '.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses.
If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Hotpoint wmd940k installed approx 2years, was saying no water, check supply now saying f 01 what does this mean?

F01: Aquarius and Ultima models may show this. It could be a faulty motor or motor control board. The motor tachometer could also be faulty. Some machines have a little rotating magnet and sensor, and the magnet can become detached.
I had the same problem with my Hotpoint WMD940P ultima washing machine. I got the engineer out and he replaced the main control board on my machine it might be the same for you. 1 thing to do is to turn machine off at plug for 5 mins then switch back on and if does it again that is properly it and you will need a engineer out to fix it. hope this helps.
it said check water because it properly did not fill cus of the fault to do with motor control.

Hi I have a hotpoint wd72 which is showing an error ' E10 CHECK WATER SUPPLY' when going into rinse mode. I've checked the cold water supply pipe from source to the washer and thats fine, it seems that...

First check the screens in the end of the hose and inside the water inlet valve. If clear you need to remove the top and check to see if you have power to the water inlet valve, there will be a solenoid for hot and one for cold. Check for power on the cold solenoid when washer is put into a fill cycle. If you have power replace the water inlet valve. The whole valve must be replaced. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/washerwaterinlet.html

Hotpoint WF860

here is the list of code meaning from hotpoint.

  • F10 - No cold fill. Check that the taps are on or if the drain hoses are kinked.
  • F11 - No hot fill. The ambient temperature is likely to be below freezing possibly due to the pipes being frozen. Also check that the taps are on or if the drain hoses are kinked.
  • F12 - No mixed fill. It is likely that the water is not turned on at the taps.
  • F13 - Check the water supply, inlet valve and hot and cold hose connections.
  • F14 - A fault with the water heating has occurred. Book a service engineer
  • F15 - Water is not being pumped out and a flood condition could occur. Check that the drainage hose is raised to the recommended minimum height and that the pipe is not blocked.
  • F16 - Extremely high water level Disconnect or turn off the water supply and ensure that the water level does not rise any more. Then Book a service engineer.
  • F17 - Door not closed properly. Close door firmly at the 3 o'clock position.
  • F20/1 - The thermistor resistance has drifted or the temperature scanning sequence is incorrect. The ambient temperature could be below freezing. Book a service engineer.
  • F30/31 - A motor drive problem has occurred. Try running the programme again. If the problem persists book a service engineer.
  • F40 - Water below protection level during a heat step. Book a service engineer.
  • F41 - Water level detect sequence incorrect. Book a service engineer.
  • F50/51 - Customer language and wash programme have not been saved. The system will run with default conditions (1000rpm max and English language). Book a service engineer to re-programme your product.
