"The charge is depleted and the phone dies" This happens in two cases....

  1. Your batteries are dead and old. Try replacing the batteries
  2. This can also happen if there is a short-circuit somewhere in the connection.
Try exchanging your batteries with a new one or with another phone of same model. If the problem is gone then your batteries were dead but if it arises again there must be a short-circuit somewhere, get is checked....

On the merkury hawke wireless earbud the battery only lasts 2.5 hrs out of the 5 hrs specified with a full charge

I'm guessing it might be a battery issue ie cell(s)? not holding charge and or (depending on length the call is as the age of device) they may need replacing.
A weak, dying battery sometimes after almost total depletion will have some charge in it and again am guessing the trying to connect to music might be a default scan setting.
Good luck and al the best.

Battery dead on 2004 Chrysler Sebring suddenly while driving. What could be problem

Most likely the alternator is bad and quit charging.
After a vehicle cranks, it runs on the alternator not the battery.
For your car to die because of the battery means the alternator was not charging and the car ran on the battery til it was depleted.

My zte sonata 4g won't charge even though the lightning bolt charging sign is on saying its charging. what do I do to get full charge?

Sounds like either it set a memory or the battery is bad. Let the phone totally die and then try to charge. If it want charge then, get a replacement battery

Why is my laptop unable to run off battery power, even though battery shows fully charged and AC is unplugged

It's time for you to replace your battery.

how old is your laptop? and how do u use it - do u leave it plugged into the wall socket all the time? It's common for batteries to die out after a couple of years. however, if the computer overheats or if you leave it plugged in all the time, it's life cycle will decrease. Charge - discharge cycles. That's how you are suposed to do it.

My phone samsung gt c3530 has switched off suddenly even though it is fully charged.i have removed its battery and inserted again, but it is still not getting switched on..please help me out

Hi, If the Phone is not turning on even at Full charged. there must be something wrong with the power port or the power supply of the phone. You might need to have it checked by a certified technician.

My cell phone died and now it wont charge!!!! :'(

It won't turn on because battery is too low. Another benefit of lithium ion batteries. When they are depleted, the internal controller / charge circuitry on battery disables it.

You didn't mention what kind of phone other than Motorola. If it has a USB connector to charge through, make sure that you are using a motorola approved charger. There is a way to make the USB connectors (charger side) indicate a particular class and rating. If this doesn't match what the phone expects, then you will likely get a Cannot Charge message or similar.

That being said, this usually only happens with AC wall chargers. I have yet to see it happen with a vehicle charger, though I don't rule it out.

Battery problem

Battery problems, in my opinion, is the worst problem you can have. The reason I say that is that almost every problem I have seen as an iPod repairman can start from a depleted battery. When the battery depletes it can cause phantom problems and mimick other issues. I have seen it say full battery, bad hard drive, will not connect, folder icon, constantly freezing, constantly rebooting, you name it. You can replace your battery and often times it will correct the problem along with a restore. Unfortunatly when repairing anything you have to replace some parts to narrow down where the problem lies. There is a possibility that the battery is bad but went bad becuase of another issue.
I would go in this order: replace the battery, if it doesn't fix it, restore (you will lose everything on your ipod so back up your files), if still no fix, replace. You can usually sell your broken ipod on ebay for a decent price to off set the price of a new one. You can also get a refurbished one on apple.com/store with a year warrenty for way cheaper. Good luck.
