I hope that helps.

I have a motion detection plug in security light, is it possibel to get it to stay on all the time?

if then light is on all the time what is the point of having a motion detector unit as it is designed to switch on a light when motion is detected
the light switch on when there is no motion but as soon as detected the light comes on primarily to light the way for you or to scare off intruders
having the light on all of the time is a waste of energy

TV powers off if you put a tape in that isn't rewound? As long as the tape isn't at the end, everything works fine, but if it's at the end, it won't let you rewind it. It just turns off. Help?!

Sounds like a problem with the end sensor. If you lift up the flap of a VHS tape you will see just above the catch of the flap a hole in both sides of the tape housing. If you turn the tape upside down, you will see a large hole inside in the centre between the two reel hubs. A infra-red LED in the machine mechanism fits into the this hole and sends a light (invisible to the ***** eye) out to the holes in the sides of the cassette when the tape is inside the machine. But when the black tape is in the way the light is blocked, but as soon as the clear leader tape appears the light passes out to an IR Detector, which sends out a signal to the electronics that the tape has run out and it will stop the mechanism. But in your case the IR Detector for the end has stop working. So when the tape has stopped and can't move the light detector has sent no signal out to say stop. So the electronics shuts the whole system down to prevent damage.
You should replace the IR Detector on the left side (tape in front panel). That should correct the problem. It shouldn't be to expensive.

The rinse aid light on my Miele dishwasher won't turn off even though the dispenser is full

There are two ways of dealing with this:

1. Leave it alone, checking the rinse aid every month.
2. Find the fault.

The fault is likely with either the level detector, which will probably mean a replacement rinse aid dispenser or with the cabling. Try disconnecting the detector cables and seeing if the light turns off (make sure it's the detector cables, not the doser). If the light turns off, the likelihood is that the detector has failed. If not, then the fault will lie elsewhere, possibly with the logic board.

How to reset/fix an indoor motion detector?

Depends on the model of the detector, but wireless motions are not supposed to light up; if they light up they have been put into test mode, either by opening the tamper switch, removing and reinserting the battery, or by positioning an internal jumper to the test position. If the motion is a 5890(PI), remove the batteries and short the empty battery sockets for about 30 seconds to reset the low battery circuit, then reinsert the batteries and close the cover, making sure the tamper switch is properly closed. Other motions don't need this reset procedure, but do need all tamper switches closed. Ensure no one is moving near the motion and reset the keypad by entering your code plus Off (just like coming home). If everything is right and all other devices closed the ready light should come on.

Signals

When "X" lights up, this means that your RD is either detecting X band police radar or that it is detecting an X band microwave automatic door opener.

When "K" lights up, this means the same as above except that the radar signal is a K band radar signal.

When "Ka" lights up, then this means that your RD is detecting police Ka band radar since no automatic door openers operate on Ka band.

When "VG-2" lights up, this is supposed to mean that your RD is detecting a VG-2 radar detector detector (RDD). Police use RDDs such as the VG2 and the Spectre to indicate that a motorist is using a radar detector.
