I get the dish network screen on # 2 tv and have lost the remote I can't get # 1 tv remote to change the channel. Is there any way to program the remote for tv 1 to change the channel on tv 2.

smithgrvtn,

It is possible to get your TV1 remote to work TV2, but it would have to be a model 6.0/6.3/6.4. If it is not one of those models you would need to have a remote ordered and sent out; then it would work. If your remote is one of the above models; I have included the steps to get that done.

Changing Remote from UHF-to-IR and IR-to-UHF:

1.) Verify correct model of remote and it is IR/UHF compatible. Remove tab from bottom of remote. For TV1: Green Tab with Green 1 in it. For TV2: Blue tab with 2 and black UHF in it.

2.) Push correct tab into remote, and go to your main TV.

3.) Access System Information either with a remote, Sys Info button on front of receiver, or powering it off and pressing the up arrow.

4.) Press and hold the gray SAT button until all buttons on top light up. Release and while the light is blinking enter a number between 1-15 and press Pound(#)

5.) Press Record 3 times and check to see if the address changed to the number you chose. Verify remote works.

If you have any other questions you can let me know here; or at [email protected] and I would be happy to see what else can be done!

I have a Magnavox TS2760 C101 Television that is 15 + years old. We have Dish Network witht he original remote. It has stopped controlling the TV. It was working fine, then quit. Dish does not have the...

Hello! I came across your post, and think that I can be of some assistance. These are the codes that we have for Magnavox, and steps to program the remote. I hope that they help!

1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

or if that doesn't work, here are the instructions for a power scan, which doesn't use codes. The remote scans the TV for the correct code.

1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

I have a nuwire for my remote controls for mulitiple items and i can't get it to work on my dish network system

romaneastwoo,

What type receiver is your TV connected to? Do you know your remote model number - located on back of the remote at the top (ex. 2 digit number 5.3 ir). The majority of our TV 1 remotes work in IR mode. If this universal remote uses UHF frequency, it will not work for the IR frequency. Please let me know your receiver and remote types and I will see if there is anything we can do for this remote.

Remote won't work

If changing the batteries did not resolve your issue with your remote, we may need to replace the remote. You might check to see if all batteries have the positive side facing down on the remote. If so, then call 1-800-333-3474, speak with Tech support. I hope this helps.

Dish Network 625 - how to install and get it to work on 2 tv's. We have one working, need directions on how to get it to work on another tv as well.

On the back of the receiver there is a port labeled IN HOME DISTRIBUTION. Connect a coax to this port and the other end to the other TV. You will then need to put the other TV on 60 air or 73 cable and go back to the original TV with the receiver and using TV1 remote press MENU - 6-1-5 and change the TV 2 OUT to the station you have the other TV on. Now select done and you should have a picture on TV2. eNSURE THE ANTENNA ON THE BACK OF THE RECEIVER IS ELEVATED TO HIGHEST POSITION.Thanks for using Fix Ya.
