I set up the polycom as instructed... I even confirmed with my helpdesk that the line is analog. When i turn the unit on I get a high pitched buzzing sort of sound... no dial tone? I also cannot dial in from another line. Any suggestions?

Same issue here. Can hear the high pitch buzz, and friends complain about it.

I have 2 Turtle Beach X11 headsets, and 3 Xboxes (std, Elite, slim)

Unplug the mic, and no high pitch buzz. Plug it back in, and its back.

Tried all 3 boxes experience same issues

Playing with volume and mic settings doesn't make a difference.

Would love to have a fix for this :-)

I suspect you have a bad set of capacitors in the control module. This problem usually starts out as a high pitched noise but can lead to the TV not turning on. Please see the link below, posted by StivO. It gives step by step instructions on how to replace the capacitors. This is a very inexpensive fix.

what line have you connected to the polycom? you will need to connect a single line circuit line.

Let's make ur problem a bit clear. "white lines" how? where?
meaning retrace lines with full raster or a single vertical line?
buzzing sound? without even turning the power switch of the TV to "ON" or when u just plug the power cord?
I'll check for schema, mean while can u tell me where the resistor leads to? is it a fusible resistor? if so , to which area the resistor suppliers power?

What is the make an and model of the set?

Is the buzzing from the speakers or from inside of the set?

Is it a high pitched frequency buzz or a low pitched frequency buzz?

There are many things that can cause a buzz in a TV set. In anycase, the set will require tech service.

The older Polycom SoundStations have power supplies that allow either anaog or digital signals. The phones themselves will work on either.

If your office phone systems are different, or if the extension it was originally plugged into was configured for analog and you are now plugging into digital would explain the problem.

The tv has a shorted component and that is why is making the noise,call a qualified technician to find it and dont try to use it anymore.Is not a fuse.
