You can try to reset the calculator: In so doing the default configuration is restored. If that works for your graphs why fiddle with the setting?
Ok to reset calculator (do not worry I will tell you how to change window dimension):
Press [2nd][+] to access the (MEM)ory management.
Press [7:Reset][2:Defaults] [2:Reset]
The window dimension will be restored.

To change dimensions
In main calculator screen press the [WINDOW] function key
Enter the value of Xmin. If negative use the change sign key (-) under key 3
Enter Xmax value. Make sure that Xmin is less than Xmax.
Leave the Xscale at 1
Enter Ymin. If negative use the change (-) key
You can leave the Yscale at 1, Xres at 1.
You can change the DeltaX but if you take too small a value your graphs will take long to be drawn.

If you ever get a problem, just press the [ZOOM] function key and select [6:ZStandard] it will restore the default dimensions.

How can I fix HP12c when keys do not respond?

HP lists on their site (and in user manual) a way to run a key test to see which keys are bad. I'd start there.Type "hp 12c key test" into your search window on your browser and the first thing that comes up should answer it. Took me about 4 seconds to find this.

How to calculate 17^23mod55 in casio scientific calculator fx-991MS?

Using the Windows calculator in scientific view, we get:
17^23 = 19,967,568,900,859,523,802,559,065,713
which is 29 digits long, ie much longer than the capacity of most calculators.

Because both 17 and 23 are prime numbers, it isn't possible to simplify this calculation, so you will need to use find a calculator that has sufficient capacity to be able to handle numbers of this length.

The xnumbers add-in for Microsoft Excel can also be useful for this sort of calculation (do an internet search for it).

Using the Windows calculator, MOD55 of the above number is 18.

I was checking out my calculator and pressed 2nd F FIX. Then realized that everytime i press the ON button i see this coming up, 0.000000. I want it to come off. What do i do?

Hello,
From what I know of other calculators, the FIX feature displays results in floating point mode of the type 12345.6789 depending on the maxim number of digits that the calculator can display.

Howerer, when you use the FIX command, you are expected to enter the number of decimal digits you want the results to have. Apparently, when you do no not specify that number, the calculator uses the default option.
I suggest you try [2ndF][FIX] 3. If that does not fix the number of decimal digits then try 3 [2ndF] [FIX]

Hope it helps.

Comments: - Just a thought. Pressing [ON] on a calculator that is in use, can for certain calculators reset defaults. So if you have no reason to press ON when the calculator is already ON, maybe you should not do it.

Note that changing the Fix and Sci settings does not affect internal calculation results.
Norm: Exponential display format and cancels the currently configured Fix and Sci settings.
Fix: Specifies a fixed number of digits to the right of the decimal place.
Sci: Specifies a fixed number of significant digits.
3) Angle Unit Setting
(90°=?/2 radians=100 grads)

Numbers are upside down. How do I turn them around?

Hello,
Frankly, I would love to see that. More seriously, now, if problem is software related you may be able to recover you calculator.

Use the link below to install TIConnect software
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_ti_connect.html You can also download the latest OS there.

Install TI connect on your computer and run it to open the main Window. Then connect you calculator to a USB port and, in the TIConnect main window Click the TIDeviceInfo icon. It will try retrieve the info.If it does your calculator is fine. Fill the screen with letters, symbols, numbers, and use TI connect ScreenCapture icon and compare the image with the actual screen. This may serve as a diagnostic tool in case you have to take calculator for repairs.

If it tells you Device Not found , Click communication settings in same pop up window where it said Not found, and Select Device, Select Cable, Select Port and try OK. If you are lucky and it works, you should reinstall the OS, which can be downloaded from education.ti.com. You drag and drop the OS on the TIconnect main window. Calculator must of couse be connected to computer.

If you have problem with TIconnect, use the calc-to-calc cable to transfer the OS of a working calculator. Yous should be on Receive mode [2nd][Link] --->>Receive. (When both calculators are ready hit enter.) The other calculator, you guessed exactly right, must be on Send [2nd][Link][SEND][G:SendOS]. (When both calculators are ready hit [ENTER])

If all that does not work, then it may be time to head for a place of worship to pray for its resurection, or look for a repair shop.
Hope it helps
