My sansa m230 driver mp3 player is not detected as removalble disk i mean as a flash drive on my laptop how can i fix this issue

Hello,

When you're able to change USB mode in the display:
- From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB
- Select in "Auto Detect", "MTP" or "MSC": choose MSC for viewing the player as a removable disk.
When you cannot select MSC mode in the player's menu, force MSC mode with the player switches/buttons:
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Facing the hold switch: slide it to the right so an orange color would show, putting the device on Hold.
3. Connect the device to the PC with the provided USB cable.

note
In MSC mode: Before disconnecting the USB cable always go through the safely remove hardware icon in the lower screen of your computer on the right. Left click the icon to see all removable disks and left click on the removable disk drive letter of the player to disconnect: after the message you can take out the USB cable.

I click on the music folder and nothing's there. This is a macintosh computer

Hello,

To see music in the music folder on your computer, change to MSC in USB mode in the player from:
Main Menu > Settings > USB mode
For firmware FW 1.01.11 and below on the Sansa Clip the selection for USB mode switching is not available: For adding this selection update the firmware of the player.

You could also force the player into MSC mode using switches/buttons on the player.
0. Player not connected to the computer.
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing).
3. Press and hold the center button while connecting the device to the PC.

When using iTunes, the player should also be in MSC mode. How to transfer music with iTunes on a MAC computer:
