Usually monitors come with a minimum of 3 years or maximum of 5 years warranty , so as per the date that you have mentioned, I feel it should definitely be under warranty.

Check the warranty card which you would have received along with the purchase of the monitor , I believe you should have the warranty period clearly mentioned in it.

Maxtor drives usually have insane warranty periods (usually 3 to 5 years)
go to the website and plug in your serial number.
If the drive is under warranty, they will replace it.
I do not recommend that people try to fix "the click of death" on their own - often they will upgrade you because drives "as small as yours are currently unavailable".
It's a good way to get a free upgrade!

If it's not under warranty, download SEATOOLS and see if the software will fix it...but hey, why not try for a free upgrade first! (don't go for the replacement then try to fix it...if you fix it, they won't replace it)

If it is under warranty, I would have the manufacture repair or replace it. If it is not under warranty then check your receipt for how you purchased it. Not every one is aware that if you purchase products using a gold or platinum credit card, the credit card company will double your warranty period up to one year. In other words, if the manufacturer gives you a 90 day warranty, you now have a 180 day warranty. If it was a one year warranty, you now have two years. If the warranty was 2 years, you now get an extra year to make it three years. While the manufacturer's warranty is in effect, you must get the warranty repair through the manufacturer. After the manufacturer's warrant has expired, you must contact your credit card company (again only gold and platinum cards) and get advice from them as to replacing your defective product.

Unfortunatly warranty doesnt apply to you. Warranty on these machine are 2 years for parts and labour. The motor's warranty is 3 years.

If you buy a printer with a 3 year warranty then your printer is covered for 3 years. if, under the warranty, the manufacturer decides to give you a replacement rather than fixing it then your warranty continues for the 3 years from the date of purchase. I know for a fact that this is how Oki operate in the UK. Call their service department in Slough again and I am sure they will sort your printer under warranty. All you need to have ready is the serial number and they can check your warranty entitlement. If the warranty was not provided by Oki then I would be off to trading standards.

Overall Warranty 1 Year - this may be incorrect.

check with hitachi or your dealer about the warranty it may get it repaired for free, if its still under warranty.

In india Samsung and seagate and most other brand of hardisks have 5 years warranty

minimum of 3 years warranty is provided by the rest,
if you duno when you bought it, then you can go to the service center and they will check the serial and tell you if its still under warranty
