The pump needs to be replaced. The pump controls the agitation for the wash cycle, also controls the tub for draining & spinning after the wash & rinse cycle. The belt has nothing to do with it. Pump is very simple to remove & replace, and not too expensive, it's plastic.

check the clutch may be slipping and for good measure check the door switch with multi meter for continuity

It is possible that presence of moisture within the START button can trigger the cycle to continue as it keep the processor to continue the wash cycle,Hence you must remove the panel and board after disconnecting the wiring harness and use a hair dryer to warm off any presence of moisture on the panel and board. Do it with time to ensure there is no moisture within the panel.
I think this must solve the issue. Repeat the work many times as sometimes moisture and dirt together might form a conductive bond to trigger as a pressed on switch. If possible open panel to clean switch pad.

This the lid lock device
If lid is open circuit, one of the wires have came off the plug.

Clutch is failed. replace it.

the load is off balace you may need to add more clothes or stop the machine and wring the water out and try to spin again( i also have an LG and mine wont spin if ther is only one item in it

It sounds like your machine has been programmed to automatically run through the various cycles continuously. Most likely in error.
