Power good, but no motor functionality - Jazzy Select

I have a 2008 Jazzy Select chair that is not working. When the joysick power button is pressed, power turns on and all the LEDs flash (10 times) and then go off, and the horn works, but there is no chair movement when the joystick is moved or the speed knob is rotated. We did some basic troubleshooting and found that the battery levels are good, as are the fuses and the circuit breaker. I suspect either the joystick controller or the power module is bad, but I don't know how to isolate this further without opening up either one. Any feedback would be appreciated.

100%charged select Elite- What is procedure to start power on / off?

Sounds like the switch itself.. the black button.. is defective. Best case is, the Pride dealer that sold the chair will fix it. If they sold the chair to you, and billed insurance to pay for it, they should bill insurance to pay for the repair. Call the dealer.

If you're on your own, you need to find the part. Does this look like it would fit?

What the lights moving right to left on jazzy select 6 power chair

If you are moving as soon as you turn on the chair, the lights will move from right to left. Try waiting a few seconds and see if the lights stop moving. If they do stop, then you can move forward. Hope this helps.

How do you power on the jazzy select chair?

There is a sequence of a button push while moving the joy stick in a certain direction untill it beeps. Check the owners manual for the exact sequence. You can download the manual from Pride's website.

Jazzy select is swaying side to side when going forward like it has too much play in the joystick

Check your tire inflation and treads to make sure they can grip the floor/ground without slipping. Make sure that any keystock/keylock needed is installed on the axle, sometimes they slip out. Are your batteries fully charged and in good condition? Are you over the weight limit for the power chair?
Is there any noise or vibration coming from the power chair as you operate it? A grinding sound may indicate bad bearings in the caster wheels and cause problems in steering. A chirping sound may indicate a bad motor, they may be losing power and are not able to move the power chair evenly.
If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

Re: Pride Jazzy 1103 Ultra. Chair is acting like the seat is still elevated and the speed is set to slow (with indicator light flashing). Please let me know what should I be checking?

When the power seat lift lowers down, there is usually a bracket that pushes a button under the seat that tells the motor the seat is lowered and the power chair is safe to operate. Sometimes the bracket can get bent and the button does not get pressed when the seat goes down. Check under the seat around the seat post for the button and make sure the bracket is connecting to it. Carefully bend it back into place if it is not hitting the button properly. If the bracket came off, it will need to be replaced.
Good luck!
