Two
blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode
then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of
any of the circuits.
SIX Blinks---No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking selfdiagnosis function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.
SEVEN Blinks---High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
SEVEN Blinks---High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
KV-32HS510 and KV-27HS420, seven times blink error code shows problem in Horizontal deflection circuit.
There are many possibilities like dry solder joints, weak capacitors, Horizontal transistor short or flyback transformer fried etc.
If you have little experience of TV repair and good solder skills and have necessary tools to test / check defective parts, then you can make it. you also need to have related service manual to see board location, schematics and part numbers.
Low HV Shutdown: On the D Board. Check IC8004/pin 7 should be 7.4v. Check IC8006/pin 2 should be 2.5v if lower will trigger shutdown by causing pin 1 to turn on. Check IC8006/pin 3 reference voltage 2.2v. IC8006/pin 1 normally at 0v. If high turns D5007 ON which turns the latch circuit Q6532, Q6530, and Q6527 ON and turns the AC relay RY6501 OFF.
And NOTE: 6 blinks also can be Low B+ protection.
Unregulated 7.5 v from the power supply to 5v reg IC504 on the A Board. 5v to M Board Q2314
to CPU IC2300/pin 43. If 5v missing set will shutdown with 6 blinks.
If you are not a professional Electronics guy,it is beyond you to tackle this problem. otherwise log on to www.free service manuals.com and see the SONY Blink codes and also download the service manual.best of luck
Seven Blinks: High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into shutdown. Check power supply and horizontal circuits.
