Good Day! When I installed windows xp service pack 3, my sound device was also formatted but I don't have my driver softwares installer for my panasonic cf-l2 lap top.. What should I do to have a sound...

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)

you might have to get a portable usb sound card if you mean dont have a sound card installed
hope this helps

No video output from atapi dvd rw after OS reinstall, cd rw ok

>> VGA controller (vga compatible) error in the device manager

Windows has not found a "good" device-driver for the "integrated" video-controller on your motherboard; it is using the "generic" adapter.

So, trying to download the "SIS Mirage Graphics" software is an attempt by Windows to download a "specific" device-driver that matches your video-adapter hardware.

You might try installing an add-in video-card, to see if Windows will install the correct device-driver, and still boot-up correctly.

Otherwise, take the computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting about your boot-up problem.

Frequent Computer Crash

I think that you are mistaken something, I could'n find pvm900 at viaarena, no results at all.

If you use SP2 upgrade pack...well don't, some old peripherials refuse to work with the upgrade pack, instead install from full OEM cd or stick to SP1, I have some customers that still work with win98 and xp SP1 very well.

Try this: first update your DirectX software from microsoft, link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

Hope you are a genuine windows user because you need to be to get it, download and install.
If it did not solve the problem...enter windows in "safe mode" (F8 while loading computer), press "yes" to the question asked,

start-->control panel-->system-->hardware-->device manager-->open the + at the "display adapters" right click over the display and choose uninstall, do the same at "sound, video and mult..."
log off while shutting down the computer, turn on, windows will prompt for the device driver (once for display and once for sound), point to place where the display or sound card drivers are, if there are not recognized as valid drivers, maybe they are not compatible with OS, search for compatible soft at driverguide.com
