My Samsung digital satellite receiver DSB-4700F, does not turn on any more, I plug it in and turn on the switch in the back nothing happens.

Plug a fan or something into the plug you are using to be sure you have power. If yes, look for a fuse. If it has a serviceable fuse, there will be a round knob, probably somewhere on the back. If it has a fuse, take it out and take it to Radio Shack and they will determine if it is blown -- and sell you a replacement if it is.

If there is no fuse and you have power, the plug could be bad (lost contact with the wires). The OFF/ON switch could be bad. If you go this far, and you decide to take it apart and remove the switch, proceed with caution. There are capacitors in the device that hold enough electrical charge hurt you! But if you do, again, Radio Shack can test the switch. And that's about it as far as a person with no training can trouble-shoot/repair a device such as a satellite receiver.
I wish you luck with it. If this has been of help to you, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

It's about aproduct informaion

Yes Samsung does provide satellite receivers in its product family,

Here are some samples

DSB-B350V

DSB-B350W

DSB-B270V

DSB-150F

These receivers can be seen on Samsung website promoting Sat Receivers

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/settopbox/productSubType.do?ctgry_type=37&ctgry_subtype=50

The receivers produced today have a huge capabilities compared to what was offered 30 years ago when the craze started. These were the isolated communities that started to recognize the difference between Cable and Sat entertainment. You could freely tune into raw signals mobile units sent out like football games and similar new mini casts. Now the receivers along with proper reception capabilities, your reception dish and the quietly of your reception head. It all depends on what you want, 100 channels or 3000 channels?

The manufactures like Samsung have been providing the ability to receive NTSC & PAL signals and watch in the format you utilize depending the region of the world you are. Except for the US Market, this is because the entertainment originated in the US so why offer something not needed. Now with the worldwide internet and the ease of manufacturing a signal unit able to operate on any voltage system

110-240 at either on 50-Ghertz or 60-Ghertz cheaper and the simplicity can produce a higher quality dependable product. So even the US market is able to benefit finally from conversion capable reception from either DVD players or Sat receivers, including DVR recorders. As for your Net-Share or being able to receive free signals, Samsung is able to receive general signals provided free, not really difficult to set up a system to be capable of this, but you are still limited as to the actual amount of channels available. I think you’re more interested in receiving your entertainment without the annoying charges and monthly key updates necessary to view a provider’s decision on what it rebroadcasts from the entire amount of original broadcast they actually receive.

I just purchased a . Samsung 50

No, you would be better off sending the video signal from your sources(satellite, digital cable,DVD,BluRay player, any digital HD source, etc.)directly to your Samsung TV, and then use the fiber optic output from the TV to transfer the audio signal to your Denon receiver, or another way is to send all video signal to your TV and send all audio signal to your Denon receiver seperately, keep in mind that there really isn't a good reason to send video into a Denon receiver, that processes sound not picture! Good Luck !

Udate my satellite receiver echostar dsb-1220 fta

If you hold the power button on the receiver till it turns off. It will reboot by its self. If there are any updates to get this will force them to download. However you might have a card that can't be updated. About 7 years ago they changed the smart cards, so older ones will not download new software. A new card from Dish Network is about $20.

I have satellite internet.I have a belkin router. It doesn't work on satellite. What kind of router do I need.I have a emachine with windows xp.I also have a hp with windows xp.I would like to get internet...

XP does not necessarily automatically configure for wireless. https://www.lifewire.com/automatic-wireless-network-connections-xp-818243

Currently, the only companies offering satellite internet are HughesNet and Viasat. Both providers lease modems with built-in Wi-Fi routers to their customers.

While you must use the modem issued by your satellite internet provider, you can use any router you choose. Using an alternate router might enhance your network's performance, but if you'd rather not mess with it, the modems you get with HughesNet or Viasat both come with built-in Wi-Fi routers.
