My phone was working at night, I plugged it into the wall charger while it was still on. I woke up the next morning, disconnected it from the wall charger, and the phone immediately shut off. I plugged it back into the wall charger, the red led lights up for about 30 seconds, then the light turns off, then 30 seconds later screen turns white with a battery image and a blue lightning bolt through the battery. I hit the power button, but the phone will not start up.

Dear Anthony,
It seems that over charging has damaged your gadget's motherboard or battery mechanism. You have to get it serviced. But still you can try by Removing your battery for 1 hr and then after re insert.

I tried removing the battery for several hours and then placed it back in. Nothing happened. I read on a forum that someone else experienced this problem, and when they left the phone charging for several hours, the phone would not turn on. But, when they let it charge for 12 hours it started working again. Is this possible?

Iphone will not turn on! Shows Apple logo then fades out?

Leave the phone plugged into the car charger with the "plug into itunes" screen long enough to build a charge. It sounds like the phone is dying before it gets a chance to connect to itunes and start charging through the computer. If this does not work then the store clerk was correct and your battery will need replacing

First use the following steps:

Turn off the system and disconnect power cables.

Disconnect power cables
Open the case and re-seat memory modules.

If you have more than one modules installed, test the system with a single module at a time.

My phone battery died, and I plugged it into the charger over night, and when I woke up in the morning it didn't charge it any. I tried a different outlet, and it still didn't charge.

actually the batteries should not be over charged..

once the charge is full you should stop charging it more..
it you leave it over-night the battery will lose its back-up

you should try a new battery..

Wont charge or is locked

if you plug the charger in and you can see the battery bars going up and down then it is phone problem if the scrren is blank then it is either the charger but if you have a car charger aswell and both chargers worked before then it is probably the phone that has a problem check where the charger plugs in that their is nothing blocking the terminals like fluff or bit of paper check that none of the terminals are bent or coroded if you have used phone in rain they might have got coroded this can be solved by cleaning the terminals on the charging part of the phone but be carefull when you do this not to wreck any thing check the charger make sure nothing bent or blocking the charge the problem with these phone is the pins on the bottom where the charger plugs in these get damaged really easily and they can be replaced but will have to take to phone shop and get repaired hope this is some help to you....................................
