You close the door down and it will not do anything.

This is a Tempstar Higher Hood. Their is a magnet on the inside of the door. When you close the door it comes in contact with the door switch on the side of the unit. That magnet slides freely on the inside of its casing, so it is probably just out of line. Its just poor engineering. The power light comes on right. I know you can't do this all the time, but pull the side door out by handle and see if it starts to fill. Or just slam the door down.

Model #DU1015XTXS2

With the dishwasher door closed and the unit in standby mode or with no cycle selected and all lights off, press - heated-dry, normal, heated-dry, normal buttons in that sequence. Then press cancel..... wait until 2 minute cycle is done. Open and close the door and make sure it is closed. Then run another cycle.

Dishwasher door will not close properly

usually d/w doors are fine for long time.
1. check if anything blocks it to close securely e.g. the cutlery basket or the dish racks not fully sliding in or may be off track/chanel.
2. try running a cycle empty and see if it closes after doing #1.

Are lights supposed to be on when the dishwasher is running and the door is closed?

The buttons and the display panel are not lit when the machine is running. This is to save energy according to frigidaire. I wish I had know this before purchasing it about a year and a half ago. The cycle count down timer was a big reason I purchased this one, but what good is it if it only works when the door is open?

Dishwasher soap dish won't stay closed

Unless you know anything about replacing your soap dish, if is on warranty, I would call them to service it. It might be cheaper in the long-run.

RE: Miele dishwasher G1472 The door will not close. Does the lock work with a relay, or is just the plastic lock broken down? I should like to have a repair manual of this machine. Where can I find it?

Sorry mate - manuals are hard to come by from miele, only service agents have these and are bound by contractual obligations.
there is a door locking plate located mid top of the dishwasher which latches to the door, a locking mech. # 6022271 located on the door itself.
The locking mech is electrically controlled only when cycles are selected and you push start. The chances are where the latch system which clicks into the mech is likely to be worn or jammed, the door should click into place as you close it and electrically locked during the cycle.
I would say there is a mechanical problem with the machine more so than anything else.

The dishwasher door does not remain closed for more than a few minutes during the cycle. This means the cycle starts and stops multiplet times during the cycle and the cycle takes several days to...

The catch is broken on your door.
you will need to get engineer to replace it.

My clean light is flashing....call service to check heater?

f the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water. Check the element for damage (burnt/shorted).

To clear the flashing light you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Whirlpool quiet partner III

Hello bckp,
Welcome to Fixya

If your dishwasher does not run or stops during a cycle

Is the Start/Resume indicator flashing? Opening the door or
interrupting the power stopped the cycle. Close the door and
press START/RESUME.
Does the Start/Resume indicator flash 3 times when you
press START/RESUME? The dishwasher is waiting for you to
open the door after the last cycle. Open and close the door,
then press START/RESUME.
Is the door closed tightly and latched?
(NOTE: On models with a dual-digit display, the control
displays “- -” during a cycle if it believes the door is not
latched.)
Is the right cycle selected? Refer to the “Cycle Selection
Charts.”
Is there power to the dishwasher? Has a household fuse
blown, or has a circuit breaker tripped?
Has the motor stopped due to an overload? The motor
automatically resets itself within a few minutes. If it does not
restart, call for service.
Is the water shutoff valve (if installed) turned on?
It is normal for certain cycles to repeatedly pause for several
seconds during the main wash.

If the dishwasher will not fill

Check the overfill protection float that is able to move up and down
freely? Press down to release.

Let me know if any of these procedures helped you?
