When the water should be filling or rinsing the machine is making a horrible, loud, noise and no water is coming out. The solutions I looked at for no water don't mention this noise - they mention a slight hum. This noise is as loud as a TV turned up almost all the way! This happened during a cycle - the wash ran fine and it got to the rinse and started this.

Now I am getting SOME water in - but the noise persists. It sounds more like a motor than anything else.

    Thanks!

Hi,

If the noise lasts beyond 2 minutes at a time (which it sounds like it does) then you have a motor problem.

I am suspecting that the main seal has leaked onto the motor and is causing water to get into the motor.

Do not use the machine anymore until to you check under the dishwasher.

-Remove the power by turning off the breaker or unplugging the power cord if accessible.

-Remove the screws holding the lower kick panel on and remove that panel

-Look for signs of water on the floor

If you see water stains or water then you need a new pump and motor.

If not let me know and we can go from there

Hi,
The problem is still the same... the soleniod valve...it can do that sometimes but usually will go to the uhm and not work... however if things go wrong in the right way then you will get the horrible niose you are experiencing...

Here is a tip the will elaborate on your problem more, but the bottom line is that you need to replace that fill valve...

Commercial whirlpool washer making clicking noise not rinsing

Something could be stuck inside of your washing machines drain or the hose could be needing to replaced or the hose could be kinked or twisted or have holes in it. Or the wires are either broken or loose in the water valve or the washing machines wiring harness and have to be replaced.

Wont rinse

As rinse cycles are cold fills you may have a problem with the cold water supply valve. If you put your machine on a cold wash only and it does the same thing this problem should show up while filling and lead you in the right direction for repairing it.

Washing Machine making a loud whirring noise when water is filling and when the machine is spinning out

Check the motor bearings If your washing machine is making a high-pitched whine or squealing noise while running, the main culprit is usually worn motor bearings. To check the motor bearings, remove the belt and run the motor by itself, listening for the noise. If it makes the noise, than the problem is most likely the result of worn motor bearings and has nothing to do with issues in the rest of the washer. Check for Obstructions Sometimes coins, bra underwires and other metal objects come loose in the wash and become stuck between the tub and the drum. Using a flashlight, take a good look inside the washing machine. If you see dents, scratches or dings, that's a sign that there either are or have been items bouncing around in there that can make a horrible racket. Check for Grease Spatter A high-pitched squealing can be caused when the grease thins around the bearing that's located under the tub. Open up the washing machine and check the interior for grease spatters or spots. That could mean that the grease has thinned out around the bearing and it's making the noise because of rubbing. Check the Drum for Irregularities Spin the drum by hand, listening for the noise. If it makes the noise in the same spot with each rotation, the problem could be with the washing machine drum itself. Parts of the drum can corrode over time, leaving it vulnerable to cracks or rust.

Loud whirring noise going into rinse cycle. Low

Hi tuck just read your posting. Now on the low whirring noise on the start of the rinse cycle ,Is it when the machine is draining the water or filling with water. If the noise happens when the machine is draining then I think either your pump has something slowing it down or it is faulty. Please look underneath the machine to the front right and you should see a red or black fan .If you do then this is your pump.If you don't see a fan you must have the newer style of pump. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure I can help you rectify this problem

Motor makes loud rattling noise during rinse cycle

could be the coupler and the only way to truely check it is to take the pump, then the motor off. But it seems strange to me that you say it works fine. Is it spinning? usually when the coupler breaks it sounds horrible and usually will not spin but it will drain.I would check the coupler again.

Will not agitate or spin, makes loud noise during those cycles

Sounds like coupling gears between transmission and motor... they did away with the belt and went direct drive with coupling gears. It can pump water out but nothing else. water pump is mounted to front of motor is why it will pump water out.
