Try this run the hot water cycle for a few seconds, it that works, try steaming if you get the message again clear it by running the hot water cycle and then go to steaming, this time push in on the knob after you open it, it that works, then the tap rod or the valve assembly needs to be replaced.

I've found with mine if I make a coffee it rectifies itself. It does seem that there is an airlock that's clearable using the water pump that makes the coffee. It works for me every time I get the Ventilate message.

Should have mentioned, I have to reset to factory settings first. That's the key....d'oh!

My Gaggia Titanium has an ventilate problem when it is stil cold. After starting up, autotest and running pump, it appears whit message ventilate. It takes a long time steaming or hot water after the

The ventilate sign appears as an error message to tell operator that the flow of water is reduced. I can tell that the machine has not been descaled or was descaled using unscrupulous products that are labeled as descaler but they are not.
Because the sign disappears at this time after flushing water through the steam pipe, the flow restores the sensing that water is flowing normal. This "apparent restoration" of water flow is without any back pressure. The espresso function is restored for limited use.
This error code if not corrected immediately, it will not disappear and not allow any function even after flushing water manually.
The flow meter registers the quantitative flow of water as programmed for espresso.
Please descale the machine as soon as possible. before the 'Ventilate' error message stops all functions.
This is a well designed machine. Needs more attention to maintenance.

Hello I have a problem with y machine. I have got a message "Ventilate", and i have pushed the button 26, but nothing happens. What to do?

You need to push the hot water button on the machine panel to allow water to run out of the steam wand. After a few seconds the machines ventilate message should clear.

MACHINE GETS HOT ON TOP RIGHT HAND SIDE.TRYING TO LOSE VENTILATE

The top right hand side can get hot if you have the cup warmer switched on.
I am finding that the steam boilers are starting to block up and the steam lines are getting scaled up.
If you have access to compressed air, undo the boiler and lines and blow them out.
I have had coffee jammed in the inlet of the flow meter, blowing through it will be a good test.
Good luck

Can't get rid of ventilate message on titanium plus machine

Try this, after opening hot water valve, push the knob in when it asks for ventilate. If that works then contact your nearest gaggia distrubutor and ask for a new stainless steel steam valve assembly.

Royal Professional machine

Hi,

try to set the grinder to grind little more coarse, you have to make 2-3 cup to get the new settings to work.

To get off the ventilate you have to press the button for hot water and make a cup of water.

Hope this will help you.

Ventilate

I fixed my ventilate problem! After 2 days of utter frustration and pushing many buttons, I read another guest comment about resetting to factory settings. Push the up button under the small coffee icon. It should say factory setting with the asterick next to it. Push OK. Then push "yes" for factory settings. Then my machine started working again! Hallelujah! It erased my personal coffee cup setting, but who cares.

Big thanks to the person who posted their solution on Dec. 2007.
