Hi.. I have a Compaq Presario M2000. How do I turn on the wireless. Or does it even have that. It has a wireless symbol but it's not lit up. Thanks..

Hi,
On the Presario M2000, the wireless power button is the same button that includes the wireless indicator light. Did you try pressing on the wireless symbol? That is the key to turn the wireless on. It is located to the left of the main power button. If that doesn't work, then the wireless might be disabled in the BIOS. If you need additional info please ask. Please let me know if it helps.

My Compaq Presario M2000 wifi light is "On", but
While logged into the router, Turn on "broadcast ssid" or tell your computer exactly what the SSID is. One form of security is to set the router not to tell other computers in wifi range what the ssid is.

Hi i have compaq preserio M2000 please tell me the way to turned on wifi
  1. Open your Start Menu, Right click on My Computer and select the option Manage.
  2. In the Computer Management window select the Device Manager option.
  3. Find your Wireless Network Device in the list of Network Devices and make sure it is Enabled.
  4. Right click on the Wireless Device and open Device Properties. Select the Enabled option and then press OK.

How to enable wireless on a HP Compaq M2000
There is a button on the keyboard

Button above the keyboard (antenna icon on button)

It will turn the wireless on and you will be able to see available wireless network and connect to them

Intel wireless card unsupported - laptop won't boot
try the driver for the PRIOR version of Windows, usually it will work. The driver for 98SE/2000/ etc. may be your fix!

Compaq presario m2000 - secondhand
This does appear to have wireless capabilities. there should be a small button to the left of the screen latch which you press to turn wireless on/off when on there should be a blue light that comes on. if you wish to use wireless to access your broadband you will need to have a wireless router / ADSL modem (depending on your supplier) you then configure the settings on the router to access the internet, then you configure the laptop to connect to the router. (there shoudl be instructions on how to do this with the router I hope this helps
