Here is a detailed discription on how to change your belt. Turn the machine compleatly upside down and place head on a flat surface. There are 4 screws to take out, then remove the base plate. Near the back of the channel the belt rides in you will see a stright silver shaft. Place the new belt over that shaft. The put the brush roller through the belt, so the belt is in the notched out section of the brush roller. Grab both ends of the brush roller and pull till the brush roller is back in it's origial spot on the base of the vacuum. Turn the brush roller 3 compleat turns backwards, then do the same forward to seat the belt. Put back on the base plate and put back the 4 screws. You are now ready to vacuum.

My dirt devil breeze shoots out dirt from vent

try cleaning the filters and clear out hoses, sounds like it has backed up inside, also if the filters aren't clean it can loose suction.

Vacuum Belt keep breaking

When your first belt burnt, the burnt plastics goes into the roller ends and then it dries off causing your roller to not turn or put more pressure on your belt. Until you clean that you will continue burning your belts soon after you put them in. You need to add a little bit of WD40 or any other type of lubricant after you remove the tar from the roller.

The Belt on my Dirt Devil broke...so I purchased another belt and as soon as i put it on and started to vacuum it also broke, i noticed that the metal piece the belt goes on was extremely hot and was...

It may be that the beater brush is bound up . This will cause slipping, of the belt. Take out the brush and clean out the bushing . Hair gets wound up in side. once you have it cleand out. Put a few drops of cooking oil in side the bushing on both ends. This will make a big diffrents on how it spins. Good luck DFD
