You should tell the model of your acer or the sound card on it so that i can serach it for you. However you can search it by your own by simply going to the acer website and then search the model of your laptop and the go to the support and downloads.

http://www.acer.com.ph/ or selet your location and search your model.

My speakers were working fine, I unhooked them from the back of my acer computer and now I don't have any sounds. Show me a diagram to see if i have everything hooked up right or solve this problem for me. It' showing that the speakers are playing when i click on a song in my windows media player

I had the same problem. (Checked every program and every function key and settings to make sure it wasn't the problem, tried to update drivers and everything)

I went into control panel, sound, levels and found that it was muted there. Unmuted it and it worked fine.

Benq pq4242. Yesterday, working fine. Today, no sound. I use it as a HUGE laptop monitor at home. connects through the HDMI cable. I have tried the VGA cable, and same problem. Visual, but no sound.

Obviously changed something. Check to make sure you haven't inadvertently muted the speakers. Go on your computer in the sound settings in control panel (manage audio devices) and ensure you have them set right.

Thinkpad T41 with XP-sp3: No sound / working fine until yesterday

Hi. Try plugging in an external speaker just to test the issue. It could be just the speaker of the laptop is having the problem. If you were able to hear the sound from the external speaker then the problem is the built in speaker of the computer. If there is no sound coming out to external speakers. Try to reinstall the driver of your soundcard.

Same prob. My acer worked y.day and now no sound.

I completely unplugged my speakers. And uninstalled all the hardware for my speakers. Then restarted my computer. Then inserted my format disc for my speakers. Reinstalled it. Using all automatic speaker settings. And they work fine now.

No sound from logitech X240 speakers

start with the easy stuff to miss...wired correctly, power on (green light on the right speaker) Do you have it plugged into the GREEN socket on the rear of you computer, Is there an X in the mute box, double click on the speaker and check, do you have a splat in sound codec or any other sound component Now are you running XP speaker in a Vista world. If you are cool up to this point, Update the drivers from logitech or Acer. Logitech says they are not compatible with Vista...that could be it...
hope something here helped and got you up and listening. please leave rating.
