My software version for StarTalk Flash is 1.7.00. Does this version support Caller ID? I have the Caller ID service enabled from my tel company. However i dont have a Caller ID opion under TELCO Features. Also using Feature 811 doesnt give out a number as well
The Star Talk Flash is a voice mail prduct. The caller ID feature is a phone system feature. If your system is a norstar CICS or a MICS the caller ID will work only if you have the caller ID capable central office circuit packs installed. Look on the card and see if the label has "CLID". If it dose there is also additional programming required for each set under.... terminals &sets/telco features/featue assignments/show line/caller ID...set:Y. You also have to program (under sets) /telco features/caller ID: Y.
Hope this helps.
If your system is a single cabinet MICS model (one door opening right to left) you will see 3 cable conectors (cables probably are pluged into them) on the far right side. The two long slots/circuit packs just to the left of them are the central office line cards that bring 8 outside dial tone into your system (4 per card). Check to see if they have the "CLID" printed on the white stickers. If it is a multi cabinet system it is useually the left mose cabinet.
Mar 26, 2010See the last comment,.... (accordint to the MICS Instalation manual the slot numbers are 3 and 4. I don't know where you are comming up with P5 and P6) Lets make sure we are talking abot the same system. Email me a photo of the cabinet with the door open to [email protected]. Bill C.
I didn't get the pics. PLease resend to [email protected] That is a hyphen between dyna-tech.
Nice photos, the cards shown(NT7B75GA-93) are not caller ID capable circuit packs. They would have to be replaced and your system would have to be programmed to get the call ID feature to work (both the lines and the phones) furthermore, the CID will only auto display on sets that are programmed to ring. (you can program a button to preview on a non ringing line provided the set has it available).
Hope this helps.
If you need further assistance, my company is in Orlando and we do remote programming on both the MICS and CICS systems that are so equiped. www.dyna-tech.us. Bill C.
