The Star Talk Flash is a voice mail prduct. The caller ID feature is a phone system feature. If your system is a norstar CICS or a MICS the caller ID will work only if you have the caller ID capable central office circuit packs installed. Look on the card and see if the label has "CLID". If it dose there is also additional programming required for each set under.... terminals &sets/telco features/featue assignments/show line/caller ID...set:Y. You also have to program (under sets) /telco features/caller ID: Y.

Hope this helps.

If your system is a single cabinet MICS model (one door opening right to left) you will see 3 cable conectors (cables probably are pluged into them) on the far right side. The two long slots/circuit packs just to the left of them are the central office line cards that bring 8 outside dial tone into your system (4 per card). Check to see if they have the "CLID" printed on the white stickers. If it is a multi cabinet system it is useually the left mose cabinet.

Mar 26, 2010See the last comment,.... (accordint to the MICS Instalation manual the slot numbers are 3 and 4. I don't know where you are comming up with P5 and P6) Lets make sure we are talking abot the same system. Email me a photo of the cabinet with the door open to [email protected]. Bill C.

Nice photos, the cards shown(NT7B75GA-93) are not caller ID capable circuit packs. They would have to be replaced and your system would have to be programmed to get the call ID feature to work (both the lines and the phones) furthermore, the CID will only auto display on sets that are programmed to ring. (you can program a button to preview on a non ringing line provided the set has it available).

    Hope this helps.

If you need further assistance, my company is in Orlando and we do remote programming on both the MICS and CICS systems that are so equiped. www.dyna-tech.us. Bill C.

Caller ID not working on Norstar terminal using line dedicated to fax and phone

You must have latest software to have Caller ID
You must have a Caller ID line card
Caller ID must be programmed on the phone to allow it
Caller ID signal from carrier is sent between 1st and 2nd call

FYI on the fax: Analog ports (ATA's) on the Norstar system do not show Caller ID, instead you would need to use a line share device that supports caller id such as the STICK.

How do I connect caller ID

First, I'd need to know what switch you have your phone connected to and if the version supports Caller ID. Also, your telephone service must provide Caller ID to your switch (phone cabinet).

M7310 + Caller ID

You need CID service from teoco, Caller ID capable circuit packs in your Norstar system and 2 parameters turned on in programming under "terminals a & sets" for each extension. Also the CID will only auto display on sets that have the ringing turned on for that line. (you can also program a display button..feature-811). I doubt it is the software version but to display it go into programming and step down through the menu from 'Terminals&Sets' 10 items to 'Maintenance' and press 'show' then show again at 'System Version' this will give you a display like "SP: 30DHC04 NAT". Hope this helps. Bill C. www.dyns-tech.us We also do remote programming on Nortel CICS and MICS so equipped

How do i get my lucent partner 18d to show caller id name & number

2 line caller id is offered on newer versions of software. On earlier versions a call id name button is used to toggle between the clid name and number.
To program a button on your set press feature 00, press a button you wish to program as clid name,
and press feature 16, press feature 00 to exit programming. Press the button to toggle from clid number to clid name

Need Caller ID displayed on Nortel StarTalk Flash/M7310

A question: -> does your phone ring? -> what software are you running on the system? If you know this will help a little in giving you more information. There is a Feature that you can dial if your phone rings... when there is a call coming in, dial FEATURE 8 1 1 You can even make this a button rather than dialing this feature code everytime: -> Feature * 3 -> press the button that you want to program -> dial Feature 8 1 1
