Turned off Dell Vostro 1510 midway through as I was struggling to remove a DVD, now it wont power up. I get an option to use the repair mode, but that just takes me to a blank screen.

I am having issues with my laptop Dell Vostro 1510. Getting a black screen and white cursor in the upper left hand corner.

The error code indicates that the system is not able to access or detect any Hard Disk Drive.
If comfortable you can try the following:
1. Open your laptop following the below guide
2. Look for the Hard Disk Drive
3. Remove it from the system
4. Re-seat the Hard Disk drive
5. Re-start the system

If still the HDD is not detected I am afraid to say that the Drive is gone bad and needs a replacement.

Kindly feel free for any further clarification or assistance.

My dvd doesnot come out, it got stuck in the laptop. any no screen display, it is DELL Vostro 1510

- if you can't remove the DVD inside, there is a small hole besides the eject button if your not using a slot tray DVDrom
- you can stick a hair pin or a small pointed object to manually eject the dvd inside
- hope this work
- after this update your system for disk drivers

My dvd drive is not responding, i cant eject and dvd stuck in drive,

There is a small home on DVD/CD drives. Insert a paperclip there or anything hard and narrow thing so it will open up.

It's time to replace that cd drive. Trying to repair a cd/dvd drive that is bad would cost more than getting a new one.
