I have lost the original sofrware CD for my camcorder. I need to download the software to my laptop.
I was never given the software for my JVC GZ-MG20AA HDD camcorder. When I tried to get it off Harvey Norman they said to contact JVC, of which has the worst support services, thats if you can get through.
Please help as I have very valuable footage to save on my HDD.

Alkitten: You need to install the software that came with the camera. Or you can look for a third software like Adobe Premiere 4 that can covert the video. The video is written and saved as .mod which is not a very common format.

I lost the software as well... for my mg20 JVC camcorder.....i have a toshiba satellite laptop...with vista....i have a usb and i bought these wires at walmart its a usb multi cable with firewire....it has the fire wire connector. when i plug the usb it recognizes the pictures on the camera but not the video. is it because i need the software? also is it compatible with vista? thanks
