My 10 year old 55 inch Mitsubishi rear projection shuts off.

The main board/switch is worn to the point it will not work anymore after a while, I been in the business for years, These are wonderful TV's, yes there are replacement parts but a quick fix your looking for here will be unsuccessful this is the reason I am providing my advice and take a chance on the rating your going to give me. Power interrup

Good Day, qfd333;
To find suspected liquid the PCB's, remove the front speaker cover and the small board held on by 5-6 screws. Look at the first 3 to 5" on the PCB. Use bright light it's not always easy to see. If fluid is spotted remove the boards from the back of TV. Use small brush, like old tooth brush, and acetone. You can get acetone from hardware stores
Look for rusted wires or parts and replace as necessary.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

VS - 45065 Rear projection TV

hi .

All the models listed on the manual are all the same chassis as yours. when there are more then one model listed it means that there are a few different variations of this unit, normally it refers to the screen size. if your set for example is a 51 inch unit then look for the model closest on the manual.
yes the wii and other gaming units are fine to use with a rear projection television. the only thing to watch for is not to pause games and walk away as this will cause screen burn.
