SomeHotpoint's are designed to go into test mode when the start button and the on/off button are pressed at the same time. If you are stuck in Test mode, simply hold the start button down until it comes out of test mode, then hold both the start buttons and the on/off button down until you see 'D:end' (or similar message). Now try a normal wash programme again and hopefully it should be fine. If it goes into test mode by itself, then it may be an indication that there is a real fault, or a faulty programmer board. hope this helps.

This model like most new models are cold fill only.. It will heat to the temperature set by the variable thermostat setting..

then press start again now hold on/off and cancel together for a few secs should no say d/off or something should work now

Your machine has gone into service engineer 'test' mode as you have pushed a couple of buttons together by mistake. Go through this sequence .. Switch Off. Switch On (all LCD lights flash). Press Start/Cancel button (LCD panel now reads On). Together press the 3 ON/OFF STARTCANCEL and SPIN buttons like you would CTRL-ALT-DEL on a PC. The screen will show "DOFF". This means you are now out of test mode and back into normal operating mode. This happened to me and I was talked thru the sequence over the phone by the Hotpoint service assistant Emma - brilliant and free.

its in factory test mode, this can be set by pressing the on and start buttons together. to reset, turn on while pressing the on and start together until dOFF appears

to take out of test mode you must turn it on while pressing the start/cancel and on buttons at the same time until dOFF appears.

This works

To exit the TEST mode, press and hold down the "Start/Cancel" button until ALL of the console lights light up. Press both "Start/Cancel" and On/Off buttons simultaneously until " dOFF " appears in the display. The default setting will now appear and the machine can be used normally.

Your test mode is on, maybe accidently. Press "start", "cancel", "on" & "off" together for 10 secs, you will see d/off come on the display. Do the same & the test mode comes on again.
