Last year When i turned on my desktop HP A1610N PC, it stays on

Last year When i turned on my desktop it stays on for the first hour then shuts down. I turned it on again, it shuts down in 3 seconds. In the past year, i solved the problem by adding a ups. YESTERDAY THE PROBLEM CAME BACK , I BOUGHT ANOTHER UPS,THIS TIME UPS DID NOT SOVE THE PROBLEM. any idea what to do?

A1610n will not boot up. blue screen w/hp logo. However, if I let it sit for an hour or more it boots up. But upon restart it goes thru the same waiting game. Windows XP o/s. Thanks.

you have a thermal problem, a component somewhere heats up and prevents POST (Power On Self Test) check all fans, powersupply, dust off vents in the casing and heat radiators with air duster cans... (DON'T SHAKE OR TILT THE DUSTER CAN WHEN USING IT)

You may have a faulty video card. Test this card with a know working pc. If your video is embedded on your main board, try using a PCi video card.

I would be careful if i was you because if it is a fan problem and you are starting up anyway your system can overheat and if that happens you just might be buying a new pc instead of a fan :) I use driveragent.com for all my driver needs. it searches your pc after you install it and finds any outdated or wrong drivers you might have and u can download them with a click of a button :) its a small fee but well worth it i used to have to search for hours trying to find drivers and then get a wrong 1 and continue the search

Hard Drive Error during system recovery

You need to run a hard drive diagnostic disk in dos,(before windows starts) First check with HP, You can also use a program called HDD Regenerator 1.51. This will check the drive for bad sectors, and then you can try and repair them. This way you might
be able to see some of the data you want. If the sectors that where
repaired had the operating system on them, you should just get a new drive,(if not under warranty) then after you have a new OS installed on the new drive, you can plug in the old drive and see what you can recover.
