Upper thread breaks ''inside''. Then thread pulls tightly. Must be re-threaded to sew.

Totally remove the upper thread from the machine then rethread. When threading the top thread, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot so the thread will seat properly in the tension disk. The thread is probably breaking because the tension is too tight. Try setting it at the midway point and then tweak it from there. Also check that the thread path is correct--incorrect threading could cause extra tension on the thread.

In case there is gunk build-up in the tension disk, you can moisten a piece of perl cotton thread with rubbing alcohol, loosen the tension disk all the way, Raise the presser foot and then, gently, pull the perl cotton Down through the tension disk a couple of times. (Always pull Down, Never Up!)

If you continue to have problems, you may need to take it for service.

Do you mean the upper thread is pulling out of the needle eye when beginning to stitch? If so, make sure you pull at least 6 inches of thread through the needle's eye before beginning to stitch.

If the upper thread is breaking, then it is either threaded incorrectly or the upper tension is too tight.

Are you saying that the thread is breaking?

CAUSES of upper thread breaking

needle is in backwards
improperly threaded
tension to tight
needle bent or blunt
thread to coarse for size of needle
needle too long for machine
burr on needle
tension discs worn so that thread works in grove
neele too fine for size of thread and fabric
lint or dirt around bobbin case holder
irregular sewing speed
AND THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS:
threads not properly pulled back under pressure foot when starting to sew
This means, Have enough of the upper and lower thread pulled to the back and hold for the first 2-3 stiches,

Do this every time and it will become second nature and you will do it automatically
