The MP3 player earphones only work sometimes. Left will work the right doesn't, the right works the left doesn't. Somethimes if you move the MP3 player, neither one of the speakers work. We purchased new earphones, thinking maybe they were not working correctly, that was not the problem. I have only had this sence Jan. 8, 2010. I paid 49.88 plus 4.64 taxes. I took it back to Walmart to get a replacement as I had the receipt. They said ,I had to go to your web site. Here I am. What do I do to get this replaced? My grandson needs this for school. He is ADHD and uses this in a special program to help him concentrate. Please reply, CJ

It is (not the earphones) it is (the MP3 player). We tried new earphones to see if that could be the problem. In fact we tried 3 different sets. It is the MP3 player. How do I get a refund? Walmart said, I had to contact you, they couldn't take it back. I jut read the paper work and it says (Do not return this product to the store.) This product should have lasted more than a few weeks. I want a refund on this product, my Grandson needs this. Please reply.

There's no way that Walmart should have told you to visit this website in order get a replacement. I would go back to that Walmart, ask for a manager, and tell him/her what happened. This website has no relationship with Walmart. Walmart has a return policy which should have covered you returning the earphones within a reasonable amount of time. To isolate the problem, first you should determine whether the problem is with the player or the earphones. It sounds like you tried more than one pair of earphones. If you're sure you had the earphone plug pushed all the way into the jack (sometimes the jacks on these players are very tight), and you've done this with more than one set of earphones, then there's probably a physical problem with the MP3 player. I'm going to post this as a "Clarification Request" rather than a "Solution" so that you can respond and tell me how things are going. Please post back.

So you're sure you pushed the earphone plug all the way into the jack, on all 3 earphone sets? You'd be surprised at how tight a fit some of these plugs are, especially in Sansa players.

Or does the plug fit very loosely? There are earphones which are meant to be used for cell phones, and the plug is a smaller size than MP3 player plugs.

In any case, the Walmart employee who told you to talk to "Fixya" was wrong. "Fixya" has no relationship with Walmart, it's just a volunteer help site.

As Silverdragon said, take the earphones with receipt back to Walmart and insist on talking to a manager. You paid a good amount of money for those earphones, they should allow you to trade them for a different kind, although it's likely that the MP3 player is damaged if the plugs you tried are a good fit, and were seated all the way into the player jacks.

Sounds as though either the earphone's Plug isn't the right size or plug end shape... OR the actual Jack is faulty, and only making intermittent connections... or the wire to them is broken. What is best is take the MP3 unit along when buying any head/earphones and try them in shop.. As for Walmart... Talk to a manager and demand a refund or a change of type... Don't take NO for an answer. Also you don't need to spend that amount for them... any cheap pair that works will be OK. Try before you buy.

Right earphone wont work.

It is very likely that the problem is in your MP3 player and not your ear phones. If it is still under guarentee, then take it back to where you bought it. If not it may be that the earphone jack plug is faulty? It is a trade off between the cost of repair against the cost of a new one. These things are often glued together so opening it could break it anyway - sorry

Earphones right side won't play...

I inserted a drill bit that fits the exact size of the aperture and twisted it around a few turns and it is working better.

Sansa earphones

first try using different headphones, if the problem isn't with the headphones then it's the mp3 you'll probably have to send it in to get it fixed.
