To determine if your problem is due to an easily replaceable part, follow these steps:

1. Connect the water supply hose, the pressure hose, and the wand WITHOUT any nozzle tip.

2. Turn on the water supply, and press the trigger until water is smoothly running out of the nozzle
after any air is all purged out. Release the nozzle trigger.

3. Start the engine, and let it warm up for about 30 seconds.

4. With the engine running smoothly, press the nozzle trigger. The water should flow out of the nozzle (without the tip installed) at a faster rate, while the engine noticeably loads down as it used to do before your "no pressure" problem. If it does not load down, turn it OFF, and disconnect everything, and contact a Karcher repair facility.

5. If the engine does load down, release the trigger, and install one of the nozzle tips (not the black one).

6. Press the trigger, and the engine should load down, and you should have normal pressure from the wand. After you release the trigger and press it again, you will probably again have no pressure, and the engine will not load down. Removing the nozzle tip, pressing & releasing the trigger, and re-installing the tip should give you normal pressure again, but releasing the trigger will cause no pressure until you again remove the tip, press the trigger, and re-install the tip.

This is caused by a bad UNLOADER VALVE, which is located under a black cap with a metal button on it located on the top front of the pump. I don't know if you can purchase the replaceable parts from a Karcher repair shop, but when a neighbor & I took his washer to a repair place, it looked pretty simple to do this repair, and he was charged about $60 to replace a $5 (maybe) part, and it took about 5 minutes.

SOURCE: my karcher pressure washer has lost its water power

I have the same problem. With mine I have to remove the tip that I am using then pull the trigger and then replace the tip and pull and pressure should return. I believe that one of my valves is sticking causing me to reprime the pump frequently. I am trying to clean or replace my valves to fix the problem.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Karcher G 3000 BH Engine Pumping Problem

This may not be a motor problem. It sounds like your pump is not working properly and the motor is just following the pump. First thing to do is check for leaks in the pump, wand hose, gun etc. It may also be a blown water seal inside the pump.

SOURCE: my karcher pressure washer seems to oscilate on

The most typical reason for this is that your supply pressure or volume is not sufficient. Try using a larger diameter hose.

New rotary nozzle will not work. will spin and then stop and repeats.

By rotary nozzle do you mean the dirt blaster? or a different accessory? if it is the dirt blaster it could be that there is air in the system. take the dirt blaster lance off, then pull the trigger with high pressure untill you get a complete flow of water. then put the dirt blaster onit should work.

Another thing that could have happened is if you have bought the wrong dirt blaster for your machine as there are different types for different models.

Karcher G2600 VH - low water pressure

If the spill valve activates is "spills" water under the washer. There is a restriction or the pump has become inefficient and will not pump the volume and pressure it should at full RPM.

Water blaster compressor still firing steadily even when in 'idle

No, there's no adjustment. And it wouldn't help if there was! The symptom you describe is very common, and it indicates that there's a leak somewhere. Unfortunately, there are several places where a leak can occur - it may be external (sooner or later you will see water coming out of the casing) or internal (water is leaking from the high pressure side of the pump back to the low pressure side, so you'll never see it). Unless you are a keen engineer, you're best advised to get this repaired professionally. However, get a firm quote before authorising a repair, as it can cost more than the machine is worth.

Karcher K2.89

Dear Pajodi,
I just came across your problem. I have just joined FIXYA, and solved various Karcher problems. First of all with all respect, the shop from where you bought the machine, must have told you all necessary instructions to operate your machine.
Now the soap always works on low pressure. So if you have a variable lance, turn it to low pressure. You can also remove the lance, and the soap will surely starts to work. With turbo lances, the soap system does not work. This concludes that the soap does not work when high pressure is used. Bigger machines do spray soap at high and low pressures. But these have regulating knobs, to swith off and on, the soap supply.

MG.
