hello, before change a lot of parts of your transmision, you should chek well... i guess that you are having some problems with the stabilizer, this one is taking all of the weigt transfered to the front or from the front side on accelerating or decelerating cycles; but allwais... should chek well if it exist a problem with the part that we are thinking to change. good luck!

Check transmision oil level, Place car in park, hand break, open motor compartment and check transmision oil level with motor on idle. Good level?: transmision is bad, repare or replace the whole unit. bad level: complete and check for leakeges.

My range rover classic has lost alldrive. A PIPE TO THE OIL COOLER HAS COME DISCONNECTED AND THE OIL HAS ALLDRAINED. WOULD THIS STOP THE GEARBOX FROM WORKING?

Hi the answer is yes ,,the oil in the cooler is the same in the transmision in automatic vehicles,if you miss any oil the transmision will not shift do to lost of oil pressure, and it can couse severe damage to the transmision... good luck

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION

there is an oil seal between the transfer case and trasnmission housing, if your bearings have gotten hot in the transfer case, this could have caused the oil to heat up and damage the mechanical seal
