Turn signal switch may be bad from what it sounds like.

You are probably losing your coolant through a bad head gasket in the engine. If so, you should be seeing a milky exhaust. However, you also may have a pinhole leak on one of the hoses - at operating temperature, the coolant will evaporate as soon as it hits the engine, and after stopping you may detect a glycol smell under the hood. A cooling system pressure test may help identify the problem.

Add 1/2 pint of ATF to transmission and retry it.
