Hello,

You need to replace the ink service module BEFORE it gets completely full.

You can go to this web page for instructions:

Replacement of Ink Service Module

The part number is CB026-67043 for the Officejet H470 printer. You can order it from HP or check for availability from a local office supply store such as Staples or Office Max.

Here is the HP page to order:

Thanks for using Fixya.

The link for the HP Parts Ink Module doesn't work. The link will take you to the HP Parts Store. Enter the part number above in the Search Box. It will come up then. Sorry.

all you need to do is remove the tank and soak it in warm water and rinse till it is clean. it just a plastic tank. you need to reset the printer so the light gos out. try this. after cleaning and drying the waste tank re-install. with the power on push cancel and resume buttons and hold for 8 seconds. then hold down power button and tap resume 4 times. done.

How do I Turn off my waist ink absorber error message?

You can't. You will need to replace the waste ink tank when it becomes full before it will allow you to print anymore. I had to do that with my Canon at one time too.

After replacing the ink waste tank, I am still getting an error stating replace waste ink tank full on an Ricoh GX3000 all in one.

This may have to do with the method of replacement. Leave the printer on, remove the waste tank, clean the area (sensors may detect residual ink) replace the empty waste tank. If this doesn't work, there may be a chipset on the waste tank to indicate end of life. This is a way for the manufacturer to continue making a truckload of money from the end user. Generally the only way around this is to modify your printer to by-pass this part of the circuit (an electronic solution to replace the chipset). This method will most likely void your warrantee.

I own a canon w8200 pigment large format printer. I replaced two cartridges, Magenta and Yellow. The printer did a nozzle check that seemed to take too long. I then received a 'waste ink tank full'...

<Remedy>
1.Waste ink absorber
Use SERVICE MODE>COUNTER>PRINTER>W-INK to check the waste ink
absorber. Replace if the waste ink level is near the limit (14400).
After replacing the tank, perform SERVICE MODE>INITIALIZE>W-INK.

Message "wasted ink tank near full" on Canon Multipass F80

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

Waste Ink Tank is full and printer will no longer work. How do I repair this problem?

I wouldn't override that error message. Best bet is to open up the printer and give it a good cleaning. If you're unfamiliar or not comfortable with the procedure, take it to your closest computer repair store to have it serviced.

Canon muti-pass MP360 INK TANK FULL

I believe what you are seeing is "WASTE INK TANK FULL"? This means that the tank that collects the waste ink from cleaning the head is full. You can read more than you ever want to know on this subject on the following link: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/38697#1 These are the steps to clear the message by reseting the counter: 1)Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan Now you should be in service mode from there for waste ink tank reset 2)Select Test mode which is like the last available selection 3)Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other options this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button The menu will now say EEPROM Clear Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set Your done!
