It definitely is worth to fix. But I suspect that all you need is just a battery replacement. Don't forget, that before you purchased your watch, it was laying on dealers shelf for no one knows how long. Battery originally is fitted at Tag Heuer's workshop in Switzerland, and nobody was replacing battery when you bought the watch, so, it may have been in the watch for a year or even more before watch was sold to you.

How much r these watches worth b4 I even consider repair? Thx

If you are interested to have some idea about how much are worth your unspecifies watches, go to ebay and look for similar models. might give you idea if worth or not to repair them
Please take note that an old watch, if not in good shape, faultless, has really no collectors value, just because it's old. There are too many old watches around. If has gold parts, only worth value of the gold. Goldfilled watches are not worth anything if they are not perfect.

My watch stops working, the mechanism works on motion or kinetics. However, even with a bit of a shake it works for a bit then loses time and stops altogether

It may require rather more than a bit of a shake! Some makers say that you have to swing it gently form side to side for 200-300 times to fully wind up the watch.

I bought one some years ago that didn't work well and I had it cleaned, after which it worked perfectly for years.

If giving your watch the shaking I described above it still does not work, try having it cleaned.

Automatic watches thrive on being used but should run for 2-3 days before stopping.

I was given a Tissot Seastar and I know nothing about it or if it's worth fixing. It has a 17 jewel automatic movement which works fine.It also has the day and date. The movement number is 14190996 and the...

If it is the eta 2824-2 model. When you say the hands don't turn, I take it it does not work? its an automatic so needs wrist/ hand movement to wind the rotor. You can manually wind the watch by simply turning the crown (without pulling the crown out) Try doing this first.

Need bezel with lugs

You could always ask the maker (go to Boluva.com and get the address of your nearest service center).

It seems s unlikely that they will be able to help with such an old watch but you never know your luck. I'm sure that they will be pleased to hear that your watch is still working after such a long time!

Bought this Russian Diver 7003 from ShopNBC about 2

Hard to fix for people without watchmaking knowledge. I'd do that in 15 minutes. Anyway - Invicta is NOT even the average quality watch company, so, can NOT charge you more than price of watch. Contact me: [email protected] This will be long explanation, but , hopefully you will get it right.

Watch stopped running when not worn for days. turned crown 20 times per Raymond Weil manual, did not work.

Make sure you are turning the crown clockwise and stop winding when you feel the tension increase. Also, try wearing it for a day even if it is not runninr; the motion may be enough to get it going if it is an automatic.
There may be something more wrong with your watch.
If the RW is less than 2 years old you should be covered, they have one of the best warranties in the business.
If it needs repair and is older than 2 years, I would still send it to the RW repair center in NY to see what they can do.

Rado watch stopped working

It sound like a fault. Be careful who looks at it though and what they charge - a complete new quartz movement for most watches, even fancy ones like your don't cost as much as £90 so almost all of what you are charged is labour.

Prague 49011G, automatic wind watch - stopped ticking

I also have a Prague automatic watch (not the same model) which I purchased in 10/06 and have had it repaired twice. If you purchased the watch new, a little white warranty paper should have accompanied it. If not, you might be out of luck. Anyhow, each Prague has a two year warranty. My warranty instructed me to send the original receipt, a check for $10 (for return shipping) and the watch to Croton Repair; 195 Anderson Avenue; Moonachie, NJ 07074. There of course is no phone number to call them. Make the check out to Croton Repair. The warranty also says they do not guarantee they will fix the watch, but they guarantee they'll send you the watch back if it cannot be repaired. It took about 5 weeks and my watch came back repaired. Unfortunately about 6 months later it broke again, same exact problem (no long self-winds, ticks or keeps time, my watch also has a diamond at each hour, two of which fell out)... I've seen a lot of the issues people are posting seem to be the automatic watches not working. Probably duds, the inner workings seem to be very sensitive.
