Hi I have been trying to load some CD's on my Samsung MP3YP-S3 player (ie via the media studio software loaded onto my PC). However I am getting a message saying multipule matches found and then asking me to [select] the right match. The dialog box seems to list the multiple matches with buttons saying "submit new", "accept match" and "cancel" No matter what I do, the media studio shuts down. The problem seems to be do with the media studio software ie the multiple match dialog box occurs when I am loading the CD's onto the computer rather than dragging to the music files on the MP3 Any thoughts? Much appreciated

I can understand your issue. When you sy unable to transfer the videos to your samsung MP3 player, then the native file format would be .SVI format. So please go through this link and download the SVI setup and convert the file then transfer into your mp3 player. The link is : http://sourceforge.net/projects/svicoder/files/jSVIcoder/jSVIcoder-0.8/jSVIcoder-0.8.0-setup.exe/download
You don't even need the software. Just go to the samsung website: www.samsung.com Then click support--download center--enter the model--then click the download button for samsung media studio. I had to do the same thing!
Open up Samsung Media Studio and on the left hand side, you should see a table. Connect the S3 via USB to the computer. Above the table on the left hand side, you should see 4 icons. Press the one that looks like a reel of film. Then drag and drop your video clip you want to put on (note: If you can not open it in Windows Media Player you can't encode it for use on the S3. Use SUPER from erightsoft to convert if you can not open it in Media Player). There should be a button down the bottom right to start the encoding. The encoding process is slow, but it should work.
I had same problem with Samsung media studio not recognizing MP3 player. Here is how I fixed it. With the MP3 plugged in, I had to go into System/ Hardware/Device Manager and find the S3 driver under "Windows portable Media" and uninstall it. Then unplug and replug the S3 into the usb so that driver gets reinstalled.
Then I decided windows media player and samsung media studio are unnecessary for transferring music files to MP3 player.
Instead I go into Portable Media Devices from the control panel and just treat the MP3 player like a usb device. I copy folders of music and songs into the Music folder on the MP3. For me this is way easier than the Samsung music studio or Windows Media player.
SOLUTION FOUND!!! NO DRIVER PROBLEM ...Right click on my computer,go down to properties ..next window click the hardware tab, then click on device manager...right click and goto properties on ALL your "usb ports"...goto power management and uncheck the power saving box for every usb port, and click ok,then restart.!
if you have any problems with transfering anything from your pc to your portable device or vice versa
then it is mostly because a:you havent loaded the software from your disk properly.
or b: you havent updated your software.
my advice to anyone who is haveing problems is to get your software disk and to get the disk cleaned they get rid of any scratches etc and when you reload your software to your pc then it will load properly and run smoothly i have had most of all these problems and by getting a shop to skim my disk i have no problems at all.
it cost me £1.99p and it was worth every penny.
Does your device show up as a separate device in windows explorer? If so you may drag and drop files directly onto it.
Alternatively you can download alternative free media players like winamp and rhapsody which do the same job as media player.
If your device does not show up in windows explorer then you may have a usb problem on your Samsung media player. This is most likely to be a hardware fault which I don't know a free/cheap solution to.
