My washing machine won't start

My Kenmore Super Capacity 3.5 Front loader won't run. You can set the dial to which type of cycle and the minutes will pop up, but then it blinks "err" andalso alternatively "LOC". The troubleshooting guide with the manual does not mention this problem. Tried unplugging the machine and plugging back it with no success.

The LOC code merely means the control responded and locked the door. You'll find a tech sheet under the top panel of the machine to help guide you thru the diagnostic process, which is fairly involved.

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked. This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons. To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

I know this may seem silly but - On the top right back corner of your washer hit it with medium force with your fist, this helps.

Yes, it was locked. Unfortunately this happened back in January. So it cost me $120 for a tech visit to realize it was locked. Apparently someone in the house had leaned against the buttons long enough to lock it unknowingly. Never thought of the child-safe measure since there are no little children in the house. Why they didn't have this information in the manual I do not know.
But thanks for your answer anyway!

Frigidaire heavy duty super capacity 2 speed combonation sometimes goes through cycle fine but mostly continuously fills and drains at start S.N. XE32103237 - FEZ831CAS2

All front loading washers will fill and drain multiple times before it finishes. Unlike a top loader, a front loading washer will take longer to run because there is no agitator and will fill with water and drain multiple times. A front loader is more energy efficient than a Traditional top loading washing machine. A washer dryer combo will take hours to complete a cycle.

My kenmore he2 front loader is not going threw the wash cycle, but all the lights come on and the door is locked what could be wrong?

Hum may have a bad water pressure switch? It detirmines when the wash cycle should start according to the water level. if bad it will not signal the appliance to start washing. Also may want to check ur door lock switch if its bad it wont go into wash either.

Which is better a top loader or front loader washing machine?

Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic.
1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed.
2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside.
3. No need to observe in between while washing. Start and forgot. You can go market and come back.
4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.
2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.

Door locks, but will not fill up with water. Alarm sounds and lights flash once every minute or so

There is a rectangular magnet attached on the inside of the drawer for the detergent. Located on the right hand side near the front of the drawer. This magnet had come loose. Some glue and caulking worked well and the washer is working fine now. Meant to post this weeks ago.
