No signal on subwoofer out in Onkyo TX-SR703(E) - similar to TX-SR803

I have no sound on "subwoofer out" jack.
Powered subwoofer is connected first time, and is OK - strong bass hum when touching tip of plug. But no sound. On every input and listening mode.
Settings:
loudspeakers: left, center, right, surround left, surround right and powered subwoofer (Tannoy). No back surround, but Zone2 connected.
Speaker setup:
Subwoofer: yes
Front: full band
Center: 1OO Hz
Surround: 100 Hz
Surround back: No
LPF or LFE: 120 Hz
Subwoofer mode: Double bass
Subwoofer level: +8dB

May be it is dead from the beginning, but don't know, because have no used subwoofer.
May it be error in settings or failed part?

Tad

Hey Tad, I have the same problem and perhaps a solution. I just moved to the other SW "pre-out" and it seems to be working..the green light is on . Whatever works i guess.

Where is the hdmi cable on the tx-sr703

Sorry but this receiver has no HDMI inputs or outputs. I believe you have to step up to the TX-SR803 before you get any HDMI capabilities. Good luck.

Garbled / feedback sounds from powered subwoofer

The surround processing portion of the unit has a problem. In either stereo or direct mode, the digital procesing is bypassed. This could be just the surround processing IC, but that IC may not be available as a separate part. I would suggest that you bring this unit to an authorized Onkyo service center for an estimate.

Powered Or Unpowered Subwoofers For Onkyo TX-8511

Greg- Powered subs are better than non-powered subs (also known as passive subs), anyway I see the TX-8511 has no sub pre-out on the back panel, so you need to decide what sub you will use and run from the receivers left and right speakers output into a subwoofers speaker in from speakers then back out to speakers, look at the back of a subwoofer and you will see like 4 sets of speaker hookups 2 in and 2 out, what this does is takes the low end or bass and drops the signal to the subwoofer then takes the mids and highs out to your left and right speakers, unless your regular left and right stereo speakers have large woofers a sub is the way to go.

Subwoofer not working on onkyo tx-sr600

Have you connected the Subwoofer out to the "Pre-out Subwoofer" on the left bottom corner jack(looking from the back)?

Have you set subwoofer out in the menu(under speaker settings or similar menu you will find all the channels that you have connected and here you should have "YES" for the subwoofer)?

No Signal on sub preout on my Onkyo TX-SR703 AVR

Well the next step would be to make sure that all the settings are set to subwoofer yes, and set your crossover as well.  The amp usually has a crossover which tells the microprocessor which frequencys to send to the sub.
