Close the Kindle app and restart it. If that does not help, try restarting your MacBook.
If that does not work, try deleting the Kindle and reloading it on your system.
Everything you got from Amazon will still be in your Amazon account.

The MacBook has a dvd slot load design, I recommend a technician who is trained to work on these laptops because they are more complex than the regular computers.

Hi Kevan. What video connector is on your macbook Air? There is the Micro-DVI version OR the new ThunderBolt version. The Thunderbird version is squarer (looks a little like the USB socket on a printer) and has a little lightning flash (Thunderbolt) by its top left corner.
If you have the first one, you need this connector Apple Micro-DVI to VGA Adapter and a normal VGA cable (included oin the Philips box).
If you have a Thunderbolt connector then it would appear that you are stumped. This makes no sense as Apple sell this, projector in their stores - and it won't connect to any computer they currently sell (except the iPad).

Hello, you can try this... Connect your laptop with an desktop monitor throughVGA cable.... then Click on start>> goto control panel>> Double click on Power Option>> Under Power Scheme it should be Poratble /Laptop >> Select Never under System Standbye, Trun off Monitor and Turn off Hard Disk.

I reformat my olympus ws 100 on a mac and, erase everything, and the computer didnt want to recognized it. When turn on the display showed check and went off. When turn on without connecting to the computer and without the hold the display showed no format. If you use the foward button you can change the display to yes format and press play to select. That solve the problem.

With the use of the recovery CD that originally came with the laptop or an OEM Windows installer of your OS, do a clean fresh install. With this method everything will be erase and a new Operating System will be installed. With the use of the OEM/Windows Installer, it will even repartition, format the HD.
