What is fault code 3 please on a hotpoint wf860

Hi,
The fault code indicates that wash thermistor is open/short circuit .
Thermistor is inserted into a tube in the heating element and is filled with heat sensitive crystals that change their electrical resistance according to their temperature.
With this fault, the thermistor is either faulty, or there’s a dodgy connection to or from it or there’s a connection problem where it connects to the main PCB.
It’s not something you can easily fault find yourself unfortunately,you need to call technician to solve this problem.
